I'm watching a DIYorDie video about sweeteners... I think Wayne finally get's it ;)
( @FranC , I know... you don't like sweet... I only like a little but not like Wayne who adds it to every recipe)
At lease Wayne is admitting how too much sweetener can ruin a recipe :thumb:

Wayne’s recipes have always been to sweet.

Is it possible the extract they used to make the flavor has some alcohol in it? Maybe let it breathe/steep and see if it goes away.
I wonder what is used in the flavorings we buy for mixing e liquid. Certainly, vanilla used in cooking is extracted with alcohol, in part or entirely.

Lovers of Lime Tahity, are you talking about cold-pressed? Or distilled? (I know I prefer the cold-pressed.)

Hello Random Mixers! Hope you're all doing well!

From HIC's flavor notes--my FA bible:

FA Lime Tahiti Cold-Pressed The flavor of fresh-squeezed conventional lime juice - refreshing, tart, and realistic. If you're making a limeade vape, start here (and also read about FA Florida Key Lime). To add fresh lime juice flavor to a recipe, start with 0.5%. Lime Tahiti Cold-Pressed is a very prominent flavor when fresh; small amounts mellow substantially within a day or two. For longer-lasting flavor, add a bit of Lime Tahiti Distilled or consider whether the bolder flavor of Florida Key Lime appeals to you.

FA Lime Tahiti Distilled Sharper than Cold-Pressed, both of which mellow with age. If you’re making soda pop or cocktail flavors, this is a must-have flavor that no other brand duplicates. Creamysweet additions can make it taste like lime popsicles. When fresh-mixed (especially with plenty of PG), it’s zesty, sparkling lime with a bit of bitterness. In recipes, start with 0.5% or less - Lime Tahiti Distilled can dominate other flavors even at 1%. Use it with ColdPressed for a more complete lime flavor. If you just want realistic juice flavor, get Lime Cold-Pressed and/or Florida Key Lime instead.

FA Florida Key Lime This tastes just like an actual Key lime run through the blender - excellent, authentic flavor - including strong zesty notes. It is FA’s zestiest, boldest, most fade-resistant lime flavoring. The zesty notes can be a little overwhelming if you vape with high-PG base; VG will take some of the edge off. FA Lime Tahiti Cold-Pressed makes an excellent partner for a tasty lime-juice-blend flavor in recipes. If you need to sweeten Key Lime, consider using a little bit of FA Royal Orange to keep it tasting juicy.

I never tried the distilled--the other two are excellent!

I'd like to make that one!

You should. I love creamy lime vapes. I used to buy expensive creamy citrus eliquids from Ahlusion, now I make my own and love them.

You may like Hic's lemon custard:
    2% FA Custard
1% FA Lemon Sicily (or Lime Tahiti)

I also like to just mix Lime Tahiti/Lemon Sicily (1-2%) with a bit of FA Fresh Cream and FA Vanilla Classic or FA Vienna for some sweetness. I mix very low, so my recipes may not be to your liking, but I prefer little flavor. Or unflavored. :)

I put it outside on the porch and let it sit there in the heat for a couple of hours. It is really good so far. I think I read that Shyndo said the mango is supposed to be more present over time although this is a SNV. I didn't use any sweetener and I used the OOO Green Mango in addition to the FLV Mango. I also increased the coconut a tiny bit. I'll give it a few days for the mango flavor to increase
a bit. It's good now, but, for me, there's no such thing as too much Mango flavor! I'll share the recipe here when I figure out the mango %.
I think we have similar tastes... love Mango and also like Coconut too. I am so wanting to try (FLV) Mango.
There is a pre-made juice (Vape Kitchens Thai Mango sticky rice... haven't tried it but it's on sale so going to get some and then try to clone it)
