You could stand a bit more wicking under the mesh @Shadav, that should help reduce the spitting some.

Personally I've had almost every one of my rda's spitting on me. Apart from Cthulu Mods Mjölnir rda, but that must have to be because it's a tall rda and the liquid level when filled is a decent distance below the coil.

But try cramming more under the mesh and see what happens.

I need to lose weight badly, and was just looking at cookbooks for that. I don't know because as Mordecai said the psychological part of it is important too. I am an overeater and bad-stuff eater as much as an alcoholic. I can't exercise like RJ did since I have bad feet, a collapsed ankle and a bad knee but I still hope to get back to walking once I can get the knee fixed.

Holy Cow prednisone for a year? I'd of weighed 600lbs! I was on it for a month and gained 30 pounds. Nasty stuff, but sometimes you gotta have it.
Yes, over a year to get my liver enzymes down. I have done a few months of prednisone here and there when I came out of remission. (Not cancer) Yes, prednisone is very wicked. I was able to keep my weight stabilized during non remission state. The only "diet" I can do is a Atkins 72 original diet (way of eating). I enjoy my meals. Meats, fish and low carb vegies. I can't work out because of fatigue. However, I do a lot of walking hoping someday to start a work out program.

not much...you don't want your ejuice to be watery

if you find your juice to be too thick and are having wicking issues...keep getting dry hits even though there's juice in your tank....just add a drop or two to thin the juice out a bit so that it wicks better.

I use rdas so don't really have that issue

if you don't have a problem with pg you can use pg instead of water
No hot spots. Sticky nostrils & I'm not even vaping sweet ejuice. Can't vape w/o rinsing nostrils & mouth good avoid mouth drienedd & soreness. Thought maybe I could reduce concentration of chemicals In the vape.
You vape almonds or Hazel But?

Good morning. I’ve really enjoyed the nutrition talk. Like many, I’ve gained weight as I aged. I don’t blame age alone. I definitely could eat better and would like to take of about 15lbs. I used to work out 3-4 days a week but the past year or two have been hit and miss.

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?

I want to get a couple mixes done and possibly work on another review. I also need to put down some grass seed around the landscaping in front and on one side of the house.

First thing is coffee and cereal after my morning vape session which I’m in the middle of now.

I'm pretty intense about it. I leave the nutrition to the nutritionists, although sometimes we just.... OMG we had this kid who ate fast food for EVERY meal. He couldn't remember the last time he ate lettuce. So he agreed to eat some before very meal. I think returned and lost 17 lbs in a month? I mean, it slowed down, but.....Me and the nutritionist met with him for months. He did awesome.

Type II Diabetes is not fun.

I suppose to be fair, my parents encouraged us to be active and to eat in a European fashion. My dad made us a salad before dinner every day of our lives. We had to east ita.

The Depakote thing...; God, that med is just depressing. It kind of turned me into this Stopford wife. Apart from walking the dogs I think cleaning was my only exercise I was not allowed to NOT take it, because I was on a MH plan..

The husband was sweet about it, he dragged me to buy clothes at Target (I still have them in a big bin) after inquiring why I was wearing the same 2 pants every day and I was like, "Um they are what fit." It was kinda motivating actually.. I was like, "This guy is too nice I need lo lose some weight." It was hard, but when I finally got rid of that drug, I was so happy. It's not as bad as prednisone but it's close.

Finding some exercise you really like is key IMHO. Whatever it is. If I had to go to the gym every day to exercise I would not be happy.... But for some people they love it, etc. The best shape I ever was in was fixing the house and packing... But I knew it wasn't gonna last because there was NO WAY I was going to continue stuff like poring concrete the rest of my life for 6 hours a day OMG.

I agree there can be mental blocks to weight loss and that is what your friendly therapist is for. But getting into that? Oy.

I was not an overweight alcoholic but I don't think I was all that healthy either :lol:

It has been my observation that Belgian monks are really good at beer and cheese. I have high hopes. lol

ug I don't wanna talk about weight...I have graves' disease (was hyperthyroid up until about 2002, had it radiated and am now hypo) I can't lose weight...I used to barely weigh 100lbs even when pregnant...but then around 2004 the pounds kept adding on and well I don't even know how big I got, well over 500 lbs....size 38 didn't fit and I refused to buy bigger clothes.....with medication I'm able to maintain my weight around 220 - 260 lbs...it still fluctuates a lot but can't get down under 220...in tops I'm between 14 and 18s, in bottoms I'm at best a tight 20 but usually 22/24 or 26.....I don't have a metabolism, nor do I have any energy...I have tried in the past just about everything there is but just can't really lose weight...
my oldest daughter when she was younger would get so mad at her school "friends" when they would make fun of me because she knew I wasn't just fat, it's an actual medical condition...I mean I don't eat, due to my thyroid and no metabolism there are times where it will be a few days before I realize that I'm hungry and haven't eaten in awhile...I all but cut out sweets...I gave up on diets because they don't work for me, that's not the problem...the problem is jump starting my metabolism and adrenal gland....
what has somewhat helped, there again I can only maintain not lose, is adding apple cider vinegar to my water, it's supposed to help boost metabolism, and then also drinking protein shakes to help maintain my weight.

I don't use regular coils so can't help much with hotspots, but I'm sure others here can give you some tips
all I can say is keep fidgeting with the coil...make sure it's fairly straight...maybe press the coil together instead of spaced....
hahahaha that's usually a complaint about high vg ejuice, I don't have that issue so much....lowering your flavoring % might help but I'd say lower your vg if you don't have issues with pg that is...
    I do, I haven't vaped any in a while though....hazel but

Yikes! You have quite a few deterrents and I totally understand. Graves disease is a horrible autoimmune condition. I wish you well.

I was similar to this (desperate to lose weight) until I found atkins 72 (original). I do induction forever. I keep the carbs below 20. It doesn't work for everyone though.

Grave's disease is awful. Lithium killed my thyroid. I use natural thyroid replacement I import from Thailand (it's legal it's a supplement) and it's authentic and it works so well I would swear it was made from the thyroids of tiny Thai children. It is also expensive and I have to do my own lab work but since I know how to read it, meh.

My Synthroid experiences were hell. Now everyone is told Synthroid is the ONLY option because Synthroid did this study how generics don't work so now all doctors are trained, "No natural replacement for you." If I run into issues I running by a naturopath friend I have. She's not insane.

For me, it's like "Do what you have to." I mean.....

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?

    Mornin' . . .

Let's see - after moring coffee Sunday news programs, and reading ECF . . . A dilagent search for a new coffer maker, microwave oven, kitchen utility shelf unit, Tablet, TV are in my immediate future - so many things are going/dying all at once.

As for the discussion of food/diets/nutritionists- PLEASE !!! Changed my intake of food and what i was eating numerous times over the years, especially after being diagnosed as a Diabetic and having a major heart operation. Finally got down to a weight I was comfortable with, then just over a year ago started the ever-present weight gain (40+ lbs), Drs say it's supposedly all because I started having to use insulin. I know it is not what and how much I eat, because I barely eat that much ( 1-2 oz cheese or 2 eggs or a muffin for breakfast/no lunch/ 6-8 oz protein {usually chicken or fish} & 1 cup of vegetables or sidedish - or salad - or bowl of soup - or maybe a sandwich for dinner/ fruit snack when watching TV). . . So - YEA - IMHO - its not always what or how much people eat- peoples motabolisms can be really messed up, especially when the medications for survival are involved. . . Just Sayin' . . .
