they are the same. ill check them out. but i think im done with kanger at this point. they are so finiky and troublesome. thank you
Odd. I've never had any trouble with my Subtanks. I haven't had to use them yet, but they each came with 2 spare sets of o-rings (One black set and one red set). Looks like you can purchase replacement parts HERE.

I'll reply to myself for reference so everyone won't wonder what I'm talking about. :)
I re wicked my Cyclone today with Delasco's, and got it a little thicker I think. I had to start the wick thru the coil then pull on each end to pull the wick tight to get it thru the coil. Much better, 100% improvement. For flavor, about the same as Sally's I'd guess, but now I know how I have to wick it.

That's the exact technique you want to use, and I use every time.

The stretch, grabbing it close doesn't stretch it but tightens the fibers together so you can get it through the coil. Kind of like how a rubber band gets smaller when you stretch it. If you need less density grab it farther out and it will reduce the density as you pull it.

So... I got my rayon yesterday and wicked up my Herakles RTA as describe in the post above. It worked okay, but I really couldn't tell any difference from cotton, and it was difficult to get it to wick right was either leaky or burny. I must have wicked it oh...5-6 times and felt I just wasn't seeing any difference.

Come to find out the cellucotton I ordered on Amazon, while Grahams, or whatever, was actually just cotton. I went to Sally's today and got myself a huge box the right stuff (for only $5 I'll add) and I can now tell the difference. LOL.

Bummer, glad you got the right stuff now..

Welcome to the thread!

Feel welcome to ask anything Rayon related or share experiences.

I have a Q, because rayon is so tight in the coil, is there a particular method you use to avoid wrecking the coil when taking the wick out?

I usually don't have a problem but sometimes it's happened  but usually not 'cause it reduces by the time I yank it.

I have the spare tank o rings but it's the little tiny o ring on the bottom of the rba deck that creates a seal between the rba and tank. looks like it would be easier to just order a new rba for $5 but I'll probably just retire them when my velocity deck atty's come in today

.... makes sense lol. Thanks

That is the method I use with my ni200 coils. It is about a 50/50 shot of getting it out without trashing the coil.

One of these days I'll buy some SS and ditch the ni200. I like the performance with ni200, but the flimsy-ness is really getting old.

Also for wicking the coil I do the same thing (twist tight and insert) and then untwist, fluff, trim, and fluff once it is in the coil.

I usually do the "pull till it squeaks" method, but with 3mm 28ga ni200 spaced coils that doesn't always work out too well. I have had good luck with the twist/untwist method for the past month or so.

A lot of work? I haven't found that to be true.
Ya have to give it a haircut lol, the gaps at the top, seems to be a lot of work to get it right, again I'm sure if you have that kind of patience it's great, I may even try it, but just reading through this post that there are many variables that need to be just right for it to work

Sitting down, facing forward.
From what I've read so far, Rayon is a lot of work, while it may give you a great vaping experience I guess most of us like the ease of use of regular cotton wick...just MHO

A lot of work? I haven't had to re-wick or re-coil any of my tanks in at least two months. On the low side that's 100ml through a tank. On the high side, the ones I use most, that's at least 200mls. While it may take an extra minute or two to trim, playing Edward Scissorhands, it sure lasts one heck of a lot longer which makes it one heck of a lot easier to me. Sure, there's a learning curve but there is a learning curve with everything.

No bro, it takes no longer to wick my rayon than KGD. I guess it depends on what atty you use or something. Most of the fancy trimming others are doing seems useless in my RDAs. I do one or two cuts at a 45 degree angle and tuck it down to the deck. At most, we're talking one extra cut, than with KGD. 50-80mls later I get bored and rewick.

And it's less work IMO considering I wick half as often as i did KGD, maybe less often than that.

@oplholik  glad you're digging the SS!

Cut it off before pulling it out ;)
