How do you guys vape a Goblin at higher watts? I've got 2 Goblins on the shelf right now because I couldn't crack 20 watts.

I'm on a mech now, but back in my regulated days, I vaped everything else at 25 watts plus, but my Gobs could only go to 20 watts. Above that, the funk set in.

Been wicking with rayon since May 1st. Been vaping since May 2014.

Thanks!

PS I should mention this: The Goblins vape well at 20 watts. Good flavor and good clouds. But, as for flavor, I wasn't getting the "full deal" I would get from other devices at higher watts.[/QUOTE

here is a video by trevor jones....
i pretty much use this technique and i vape at 55watts on the goblin.....ive found doing microcoils work very well
using 24ga kanthal...1/16 drillbit....10 wraps

Its a vaping style

Short hard lung pulls, giant cloud in 1 second. You can't mtl it or even take regular slow lung pulls.. Modifying for more air flow helps too.

My style is fire, take a sharp pull let off continuing the draw for a second or two utilizing the residual heat in the coil as its still hot enough. This also cools the coil so it doesn't continue cooking juice after the hit causing more caramelizing or gunk.

I have a Squape Rs and a Snapdragon inbound from 3F and I'm wondering if there are any tips to wicking the Squape's W deck with Rayon, I assume it is going to be one of the easiest RTA's to wick next to the FeV.

I also have a GEM inbound from FT and looking at the deck, it should wick exactly the same as the Squape.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Why would an old man sit here and get so excited waiting for the mail carrier to deliver new wick scissors?

For the same reason this old man is anxious to make a trip to Sally's to get a pair there for "instant gratification".

Your the man, just glanced at it, dual or single coil.

Anyway just lay it out, not down the channels. The Wick is sort and straight try no thinning first. Start to thin I'd it doesn't feed fast enough till it does.

One of our members @kgswy nailed the squape r in the last thread and got over 200ml on kanthal I think.

Heres a link to the Squape R build

And another update build in squape.

Seems some thinning may be needed. It all depends how it wicks for you. There were more posts by kgs but.. You'd have to search.

Well my scissors came in today and I ran up to the man cave to build and wick one of my Lemos. Scissors work great but I didn't do something right with this one. Got a terrible taste a few minutes ago. I have the ST Mini walking the dog but still faltering on the Lemos a bit. I'll get there though..........eventually.

Terrible usually means too loose, or the Wick was too dry and coil overheated. See which it looks like, IF it looks good in the coil no gaps, then make sure your not blocking the channel. If that doesn't do it reduce some of the Wick on the well so it doesn't block the channel at the wall. If not, Then proceed to start doing small angle cuts just like this / down the Wick tail to thin it. It should be feeding by then.

See you cut the angle for symmetry, Rayon likes symmetry gives you a nice feathered cut down to the ends. All those beautiful hair cutter women ougt to be great at making Rayon wicks. Its much like a hair cut when you get to sculpting Tails.

Its best to work with what you've got to find what works then you know for next time. Better than shots in the dark hoping its right.

On the W deck, wick just lays across the channels, then trim flush with the edge of the deck. then I tuck the tails into the channels with a pin, nice and neat. The Squape R likes the wick really tight in the coil. Here's a great pic, by @petemoss :

The Lemo 2: I opened it up and had what I thought was a real good look. The wick was not loose in the coil. The tails were pretty thin and looked a little short, like they weren't reaching the bottom of the well. So I yanked it out, stuck it on a brick and threw it through the neighbor's window. ;) I rewicked leaving more tail and a little longer. When I was about to put the lower chimney back on I noticed a tiny bit of loose rayon in one of the channels right at the wall of the chimney. That stuff is almost invisible when wet. Anyway, right now it is vaping like I know it should.

My Rayon arrived last night, I built up a .17 NI200 coil, filled it with my new wick, and this things vaping like a champ! So far so good!! Got my DNA 40 set to 400F, 23W.. I'm hoping that this setup lasts me awhile..
Rayon's awesome. They work great in the RBAs I'm using now, but it even brought life to the Evods I used to use. Switching from cotton yarn, you could almost hear angels singing Hallelujah in the background.
