Now you tell me...
No, I told y'all five years ago:
Bottom line with using it: I think it wicks about the same as Cellucotton, but tastes cleaner, especially with a brand-new wick. I know, some people never noticed the initial funky taste from the Cellucotton but I sure did.

Meet me (and Brian?) for coffee in vape Augustine sometime and I''l bring you some. Not the skanky Grahams stuff either, but Tidi medical grade balls. I'm about 20 miles south down A1A.

As far as I know the Tidi Rayon balls are hard to source in the USA when I wanted to try some.

I upped up getting Delasco’s rayon balls.

I used Delasco rayon balls for a long time. When I ran out I could not find a (IMO) reasonably priced source for either Delasco or Tidi, so switched to Grahams. I didn't think Grahams was as good re: flavor of the vape, but got used to it and have continued using it.

I should google for TIDI and/or Delasco again and see if I have better luck finding a source. Or if anyone has a source please post a link or vendor name.

Alright, question for the snobs. I’ve been using this stuff for quite a while now. It does last longer than cotton and seems to be much more forgiving dryhit-wise, but… it’s super stringy, fragile and loose and seems to have these small plucks (like tiny balls) in it. Thinning out the tails is an absolute no-go, because if even the tip of the tweezers catches a strand, half the tail is already gone. I need to use tweezers to pull the wick through the coil (and diligently!) otherwise I’ll just end up with 2 pieces of wick. Which type of rayon is this? I’m not from the US and got it from someone once.

Sitting down, facing forward.
If you like your wick, you can keep your wick.

Remember how well that worked in another iteration!

@bask That looks like it may be Graham to me, although I normally don't see those little "balls" in mine. My previous comment still applies...gently roll it between the palms then "stroke it until it is smooth and uniform. Form one end into a needle point, some moisture will help with that but don't soak it. Trim that point to get a nice, blunt, end with no stragglers and it should be easy to get it through the coil. I used to use that method when wicking coils made on 16 or 18 gauge blunt needles and it works pretty well. You'll know you have the right density if you have to hold the first rap of the coil in place as you pull it through.

Rossum, which ones?
TIDI 969162 Rayon Ball???
I found my order confirmation dated July 1, 2014:

Your Order Information
1 x TIDI Rayon Balls - Large - Non-Sterile - Bag of 1,000 Rayon Balls = $15.38
SubTotal: $15.38
Discounts (Coupon): $0.00
Tax: $1.08
Shipping: $9.99
Handling: $0.00
Grand Total: $26.45

Unfortunately, it doesn't give a SKU or part number. But a cursory search for "tidi rayon balls" makes me think that 969162 is indeed what I got.

Is that what all of your rayon looks like? If so, it looks like you received all the stragglers that someone peeled off...grahm rayon comes in a rope and all fibers run one way, you do get some bits that look knotted, but you discard or kind of straighten them. I cut 2 inch sections from the rope, then I inspect each section, if there are nasty bends or knots, I strip that off or throw away. I try and keep nice straight sections only. I then split that 2 inch section lenght wise to make 2 wicks for my size of coil and then pull or slightly stretch each section to further straighten then make a point on the end. If I hold a wick with both fingers , I cannot pull that wick apart, it is strong.

Looks like you can still buy these online. I see them on amazon (pricey) or from a few medical stores (not so pricey) I do see sterile or non sterile options......I was curious if yours were sterile or non and not sure the difference. I do know back in the day my preferred cotton (before Japanese cotton came around) was cvs sterile cotton and it seemed pretty good...

Most definitely not.

The roll looks like this and is like it’s layered. To get anything useful I need to take it apart and, indeed, sort out bends and stuff. But mostly leaves me with a wonky wick. Yet it’s usable for some reason.
