Don't matter, that's the way we have to go at it. Some stuff we just have to work out. Makes us feel smart.
Cool, thanks.Yeah, well I'm not feeling so smart at the moment.I checked the Steam Engine chart and it seems that the SS 304 comes the closest to what I got when I wrapped my coils.
I have avoided getting into sub ohming. Looks like with SS I'll have to. What the hey, another adventure.
I was the first one to purchase Delasco balls for rayon wicking before Sally's was discovered as a source. I'm still using the same bag and I've probably still got nearly half the bag left. I can't imagine why anyone would use anything other than rayon for wicking.
I'm really kind of a tootle puffer. I doubt I will ever need TC but who knows? I would have never thought I would be doing what I am now.
I don't see a reason why a "tootle puffer" can't take advantage of TC as well. By controlling the temperature, as well as power, it really can limit gunking on the coil. I was a tootle puffer for a long time, then found RBAs and ended up down at an ohm or so with dual kanthal coils. With titanium, it's really hard to not sub-ohm.
I'm getting a DNA200 for my wife, who's a tootle puffer, and plan on building a dual coil RBA with Ti and siica, just for her. I'll need to experiment a bit, I guess, to make it work at the levels she vapes at, but I'm sure I can make it work. If not, I'll have another DNA200, LOL.

LOL... oh, that's just wrong, man! Stick her with the silica just so you can keep the good wicks for yourself, huh?I guess that's one way to get rid of all the crappy stuff we don't wanna use!

No, not at all. She's tried my stuff with rayon and prefers the flavor from silica with the same liquids. It may be a function of the RBA versus traditional, multi-coil, tanks but I'm not sure so I'm guessing the rayon versus silica is the culprit. Besides, with a 500 foot box of Sally's I'm not likely to run out before I start pushing up the azalea bushes.
My thought was, "A DNA200 for a tootle puffer? Aw, that's a way for him to get another mod."![]()
The Jay Leno of mods...I already have two DNA200s with three more coming...
Pics or it didn't happen

Here is the pic! 110ml now and just as white as day one. Coils look a little gunky but taste just as good as when I wicked it. This was also my first try with rayon.
