why the so-called experts on youtube dont use rayon....i think the problem is that when they here the word "rayon" they believe that its made from some kind of synthetic plastic like nylon

Someone with the means needs to make a good tutorial video on youtube. I know whenever I tell someone about it they always ask for one and I just have to tell them how I do it and point them to this thread. A good rayon video would really be useful. There is only so much you can learn from pictures and text and I think it would give us an opportunity to reach a much larger audience.
A few weeks ago Jeremy was putting this together. You've done a killer job brother!!!

If you search youTube for Rayon wicking tutorial my video comes up... Buy yeah its poor quality.
I'll consider doing a full out video.. I could probably rig something for my phone, or a camera maybe, but I think my phone is actually better than any cameras I have. .. The biggest issue is probably I'm camera shy. Lol

But you know me, I likes to keep it real, and call it what it is.
I still believe it trickles down from the top of the community in different corners.
ie. like pb calling it unknown and that's still what people see, a year later. I do give pb a lot of credit though for including it in his test, as it was still fairly new out in the wilds.
Plus, even with preconcieved misconceptions he probably had, he thought it was just as good as the best cotton on an initial quick test as a new user of less than a week with the fiber.

I lose track of time but I think I have been 3 or 4 days with no problem with my wicks. I probably go through 10 ml. or so a day. Both the ST mini and the Lemo 2 are doing good.
EDIT: I'm getting better flavor out of the Lemo.

About how long are you going between changing rayon? Estimate of ml run through?. I now you vape a lot of juice.. Probably a little less than before now, if your going to tanks.
300ml was the most I've gone with kanthal, it never failed and it still wasn't that bad, but enough to warrant a new build since it had been so long and it had been through hell, poor vaping conditions like freezing vg dry hits, never burnt a Wick only the coil.
Even longer with tc.

i have 2 stminis modded rba v1, i do about +10mls each/day on both, so about +20mls/day combined.
i go through days and days between wick change which results in forgetting when i actually did change the wick.
but when i do its usually because coil needs to be dry burned, rayon wick looks failrly good
I may be going through more juice than I thought. I lose track of fills too.
And it looks like I may end up rewicking for the same reason you do.
I looked back on my posts and it was Tuesday when I last wicked the ST. So better that 40 mls. I'd say and the wick still looks really clean. I wish the Lemo was easier to look at.
Keep her going... Do a wet wipe if you overheated the coil some over the week. Unless you just want to change it...
