Thank you brother Jeremy. It is amazing. I'm on my 30th ml of juice in the tank and no off taste like with cotton. Normally I would be rewicking between 18 and 24ml.

That in itself is another major plus.
Many people report going 100+ ml between rewicks. I'm pretty tough, but still get a solid 3 days (45+ ml) between rewicks.

Historically, when running at lower power, I was 18ml on a carto (3 days at 6ml/day)

As long as the flavor doesn't mute I won't rewick. But even when that time comes I can now do it in about 5 minutes or so. It was taking me 30 minutes.

@whiteowl84 showed me a little technique where I don't have to take that blasted wick ring off.

My billow v3+ and boreas were both wicked Oct 25th and I have vaped ~110ml thru the billow (was fresh 120ml batch so easy to know) and likely much more thru the boreas as that gets more daily use from me. Both are still going strong. They are both ~0.2 ohm prebuilt claptons I have been vaping at 70w with 85w preheat.

I will probably not even bother re-wicking the billow when these last 10mls are gone as I have a couple 30ml droppers of different testers I mixed together to vape that I am not worried about having a fresh wick for. Curious to see how long I can actually go before I have to re-wick as I have just been estimating until now and am not worried about the coil that is in there as I plan to build some twisted SS for these 2 tanks next time I have to wick them.

I make juice too. The flavoring we use is better for longevity than most stuff on a shelf. Like you I make 120ml batches and I have a tank for Strawberry and the rest for everything else...sometimes a blueberry only tank.
If you run similar flavors through your builds you can keep using them till the coil gunks up.
I've recently bumped from 80w-100w to 130w. It seems like my coils don't gunk up as fast, perhaps because they aren't being heated very long.
My interlocking 38g fralien has had much more than 120ml through it. I find myself using it the most.

As long as I keep the Strawberry out of my other tanks they will all last well over 120ml. The only limit at that point is when it needs a dry burn...even the Strawberry one.

I'm not sure why Strawberry lingers in the wick so badly. Even if you burn the wick dry.

I'm also not sure why heating a coil faster makes it cool faster which is also key to preventing gunk.

If I use 80w to make a coil glow in the middle or 130w, the 130w pulse cools almost instantly. Maybe the application of heat over time has something to do with it but I've always though that if you take a coil to the same temp it should cool at the same rate regardless of how long it was held there or how long it took to reach that temp. I get much better battery life too.

I'm also into DIY. My all day for years has been a mix of an organic diacetyl-free vanilla with a bit of Tobacco Blend (good ole tobacco absolute + ethyl maltol). Since I really love my Vanilla Tobacco I'm happy to do the rewick every 3 days to enjoy the awesome flavor. My wicks aren't gunked at that point, and the coils don't look bad, but I'll re-wick as soon as the flavor is slightly off of the baseline.

I came across this thread and want to give rayon a try. So my first question:

Can it be used in drippers at 100W and more? Anyone tried?
Yes indeed, a simple 6mm ID 22g 10 wrap on the Temple RDA.

I run it at 120W with a 1/2 sec PH of 160W on the Cuboid.

I vape staples at over 130w. It burns at 800°F so it doesn't break down like cotton.
It wicks crazy fast if you do it right.

I don't like to wait and I ran out of Sallys so I went to walmart and got some Kotex Us. It's a finer fiber.
The break in taste you might get will be minimal if you drip your coils and evaporate it 5 times or so.

I only use RTAs and I'm an exotic builder and rayon is the only thing that can feed my coils fast enough.

No need to read the entire thread. Get the rayon tight in the coils and thin it.
For an RDA you can cut away everything but 5 or 10% and sit those little strands on the deck.
I cut it off right at the coil.

Ok so I read through the initial page and a few more but to be honest, I can't imagine that this less rayon will work in my RDAs. So as I am from Europe I have to figure out where to get some rayon to try. Now I got reallly interested and would have called me as an experienced vaper. But after I read all this and saw the pictures, I am not confident anymore...

Yes pick up these if you can, they are high quality Rayon. Not as easy to work with (finer and you have to unroll it) as the Graham Cellucotton the "Sally's" we all talk about, but the vape is that much better again.

I regularly go 250-300ml+ before I have to rewick. :thumb:

Anyone have a Digiflavor Siren and tried rayon with it.

I've been looking at it, thinking about picking one up, if that tells you anything.. rayon most definately will work.

There is nothing rayon wont work in. Anything cotton can do, rayon can do better. :)

Start at 50% tail or Less.. cut probably right at the deck, possible slight angle tipping into the hole, with the thin tail fed down.

My fingers on the button to order one of these and an ipower 80.

Hi unexist! Welcome.

You'd be super surprised how much liquid it holds. My pictures and wicks in the OP on the Flash e-vapor, as little as it looks, will hold 30+ drops once fully saturated with a 2.5ml coil. I've vaped two hours off a prime.

Now the thinness of tails is dependent, its not set in stone. 50% tail is a lot, you dont realize what its like, mega fluffy.

You make it what you need. its very forgiving and able to be tailored to any use.

I certainly will my friend. It was way too beautiful to not return. Yes we did the cabot trail and spent a few days hiking around. We camped at fishers cove one night. Magical. And antigonish was cool - we ate at the townhouse 3 times. It was phenomenal!

NS is one of the most amazing places i have personally ever been. Beautiful, good food and very friendly people.
Never been but I worked for a company based in Halifax, they were a friendly bunch. Never really knew NS was a beautiful place.
