This tencel is a nightmare to wick with. So far, at least. It definitely gets more compact with use, but can take a torching far better than cotton. I am going to try pulling the tencel through the coils with a piece of kanthal hooked around the middle of the wick to get as much in there as possible.

Wet the tip so you can point it.. Twist the wick to compress it and twist it through. Twisting will compress it good.. Slide back and forth in the coil, untwist, hopefully you have the right amount - otherwise tweeze a few pieces out to size..

Or try the tencel chop, but still twisting can help get it through, because you need more than you think.. Just untwist when done.

You can always try it wet too.. My buddy dice57 is a big proponent of wicking wet with ramie, but for some reason I prefer to do it dry..at be some day that will change.

Hey guys, read this thread from the beginning... how about this?

Graham CelluCotton Reinforced Beauty Coil Rayon 3lbs

100% percent rayon fibres; not sure what they mean by "reinforced"... maybe a denser core? Fibers look pretty close the that pharma coil that JeremyR seems to prefer. Either way, 3lbs should last a good week or two, right? ;)

Ugh, $8 shipping... group buy?

Awesome find steam head !!!!

When we come together as a group everyone benifits!

Ok I've got the next supplier that's going to get hit with an ecf bomb....

Graham CelluCotton Beauty Coil - 40 ft - $2.99 - at Texas Beauty Supplies

I checked it and its clear... 100% rayon no reinforcement and in a small quantity.. Still enough for a year to 3yrs.

Cked the manufacturer site and it should be good.

Note! - I/we have not tried this yet to confirm the quality.. Not sure on that yet.

At this point so far it's between the balls and this coil for me..

That looks good and should last a lifetime. I'm still on my first roll from my Melatonin bottle from January.
The "reinforced" part of the product description has me a little worried that there may be something else besides rayon in it.

Yeah, my two ounces is like twenty times what I was expecting.

JeremyR. Thanks for posting about Rayon wick.
I did the same as you back in January I think. Found it in a malatonin bottle just like you and posted on my results here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/516374-pill-bottle-cotton-3.html Worked great for me and I'm still alive.
It didn't get the reception your post did though.
I still use it in my rba's. Superior to cotton by a huge margin.

nice to have you join in! And have another member with experience of the rayon...

This thread has was in the works for a long time.. I wanted to make sure it was legit and well tested before I dropped it hard like this on the community. It was after I went through hemp and came back to rayon that I realized how great it was.

I'll appreciate your contributions and testaments on the use of rayon.

How're you positioning the wick in the russian? It's been mentioned that tencels don't like to be bent much, and I typically have my cotton in a L shape onto the deck from the coil, so was wondering if that would work fine with tencel. Or are you just using the rayon from the pill bottle

Try it... I don't think its really the bend that kills it, kinked maybe.. I think it's more the density in the coil that may cause a problem.. You can also try as amy from miekles suggested, which seems to open it up some,

cut a piece to length, spread the fibers out flat, fold around length wise or roll around in hand, to *kink and jumble the fibers; flatten back out and roll into a wick.. I like the consistency better doing this.

Awesome find Jeremy!! Even better!

Sally Beauty Supply carries these, I'm calling tomorrrow and if it's in stock I'll pick some up and report back, so don't order it yet lol. I'm betting they'll only have cotton in stock... we'll see.

Sounds good steam head .. I was gonna ask you if you wanted to test it since you found it.. :) ... Look forward to hearing and also seeing pics of the fiber if possible. Thanks!

I just wicked it as I would with cotton, just a normal bend down into the juice well. I figured since this material moves liquid faster and easier, I took a little bit of Tencel and loosely packed it on each side of the wick.

just went to sally's beauty supply and picked up some "cellucotton"...
500ft for $11. it looks just like a cotton ball after you unroll it. it is way fluffier than tencel. if you didnt know better youd think it was cotton but of a better quality. i love the box it comes in.....just peel the opening and reel what you need and cut it.

loaded up the taifun with a grandmaster clone i make. in the past id only put the grandmaster in the kayfuns because it tasted better in the kf. but ill be damned if it doesnt taste the same.

have a .7 coil in it and am hitting the hell out of it on a new battery, so far ....awesome!!!!! vapor is really excellent..flavor is great
im going to load up all the other atties and test this out
