I started reading that Fogger thread. One of the other things that seemed odd was that there were no instructions in the box, and it was a factory sealed box. Now I'm bright enough to figure it out and usually instructions from the Far East leave a lot to be desired, but still....

awsum140,

I don't know why this Chinese stuff doesn't have instructions it the box but most of the vaping stuff I have didn't come with any instructions.

Most of the "How to" information I have was copied from vendor sites. It is such a common practice that when I do open a box and find a users manual I am surprised, pleased, but surprised.

Yeah, liability in today's litigious world is a problem, but even a hint about how far down the channels the wick should go would be a nice thing.

After reading the first 20 pages of the V4 thread I may try another rebuild with the coils closer to the deck, but that means a tighter turn on the wicks. Once I take this one apart, I'll know if I had the right amount of cellulose in it. I expected a lot and maybe it'll take some time to get there. I'm also going to try making some small washers for the coil screws. The way it is out of the box without any is just plain poor.

I plan on custom washers, just a tad bigger than the screw heads. The trick will be finding some thin, decent, stainless to use. Looking in the top of the chimney before the tope half is screwed on there is a fair amount of room there to tolerate some washers.

This split conversation is driving me nuts! I also assume that you are wetting the wicks before trimming and seating them to make them stay in place.

Might try screws with bigger heads. Yeah wet, then trim. I spend a while trimming, sometimes 4 or 5 cuts each tail to get them right where I like them, but that's something you'll aquire over a few builds, I try to get the least amount of wick without leaking that will give you the wettest tasting vape.

I'm going to do it that way on my next re-wick. (I hate that you're having success like that and I'm not, LOL!) I'm still having good results by simply stuffing Rayon on the deck and clearing an air path.

It trips me out that it works for you like that, I've thought about doing it every time I rewick but I just can't make it work in my head. When you empty a tank and pull the chimney, do you have wick that's been sucked into the channels?

No, none at all. On the rare occasion that I put a little in the channels, when I take it apart, it appears like there is more there than what I started with. But when I do it KF style, it stays on the deck.

1.2 ohm is as low as the VAMO fires, unsure about the VTR.

@awsum140

If you double stack 18350s in the VAMO, place it in variable voltage mode, and vape a 1.2 ohm atomizer @ 6 volts it will push 30 watts.

My stacked zmax is my one and only mod and it rocks. Stacked is the only way to go!!! Triple the battery life too. I have a blog on stacking batteries in apv's.

Here is my full impressions of the Cellucotton Rayon after one night of using it.

It feels weird when wet, nothing wrong with it I just wasn't expecting it to feel "stiff" when wet.
I typically use CVS sterile rolled coton and I found Rayon so simple to use compared to that. My first wick I nailed the density and have had zero problems from the start. I maybe used 25-50% more rayon than I would have cotton and it felt "squeaky" going through the coil

Right from the start I taste nothing but my juice. With cotton I usually slightly taste the cotton for 1-3 puffs, not much but it was there.
I don't notice my juice tasting sweeter or anything.
With Rayon I am able to hold the button down as long as I want until there is no more liquid and never getting the slightest hint of burnt or over cooked juice. I am running a dripper with a 0.45ohm 1/16 microcoil 26g Kanthal on a mech.

I have quickly learned to tell when it's going dry with Rayon. All of a sudden the crackle pop sizzle just stops and the vapor gets weak and flavor drops off, never tasting bad or burnt(this is where cotton would have started to singe and taste horrible). I find this so convenient because I don't have to look and check if its empty, I don't get a bad taste I just add more drops. I have yet to get a dry hit and I don't expect to, like I said I can hear when it is out of liquid and I just add more.

Overall I am really loving this stuff so far! More testing is in order as well as checking longevity. I see no reason I couldn't get a month or more out of this one wick if I wanted though.

I still have my first mod which is a ZMax 3. Would that work, or are you talking about a wholly different beast? I also got 2 fresh AW18350's, but never thought about trying that. So yeah, would love to read your blog too.

Mind you, it doesn't fire consistently as I probably overtightened it at one point. But still, it could be nice to experiment.

edit: it's from Sigelei.

Gorman, thank you once again!
First impressions- out of the "box", just the juice aroma, nothing else. Can't tell if the flavor is better, but i think it's cleaner.
This thing is wicking like crazy. At prime it took almost double the amount i usually put on cotton.

I'll be extremely happy even if i get one thing out of it-not gunking as fast as cotton as i love my custards, but i hate changing cotton an dry burning every second day.

My only concern is the material itself.

It's like this
a2u4upe3.jpg

Looks frigging great slavkov! It's essentially the same as Sally's just a big brick of it. It's what I expected. This stuff is pure regenerated cellulose. Take a small ball of it and physically taste it like candy . if there's any impurities you'll taste it. The only contaminate that could hang around is salts namely harmless sodium sulfate. Search thread for - redit msds or any other technical data.

I'm currently the leading researcher on this and am very conscious of my health. Deeply ingrained in natural medicine and cancer prevention including chemical toxins.

I believe that rayon improves the safety of vaping. Namely due to the clearly evident no gunking of 100 vg. No gunking no burning of the juice. Burning pg & vg is where there is potential for toxin production.

My lungs tell the story 100% even though I vape more juice than before, and it's wetter. My lungs are clearer than they were before rayon. I used to have phlem. That has been reduced by 95-99%. I believe its due to the coil not drying and burning the juice causing the gunk.

I'm a major contributor in the zmax v3 thread. And a huge proponent of stacking in these.. Of course everyone used to say I was gonna blow up and of course I didn't and it only improved my vape experience by 300%. Funny thing 54 I had all kinds of people tell me there was no way it lasts 3 times longer than 18650 @ 1.5 ohm.. Or puts out more power. And believe me it does... As you know.. Crazy how much misinformation is out there.

Not sure if you have a v3 telescope or straight zmax. Telescope needs some noalox to fire consistent. Check the specs to see if it supports stacked. Easy way to find out - try it see if it fits and powers up. If it's a tele stop by yzers v3 mega thread ... Well this thread had surpassed that one in only 2 months.. which blows me away.

Lol, now I remember you - the zmax thread was the other monster I had fully read up until March. I have the telescopic one with single bottom cap. I remember from reading the manual that it *does* support stacking. What it clearly doesn't support is its gun metal finish as it tried to shed it from day one. ;)

I never tried stacking as I was still a noob and people told me it would explode etc etc.

Glad you like it. That's awesome you nailed it first try. Some do some don't.

Thanks for reporting you experience.

I've put 80-90ml through and there way literally no gunking. Tbevs put 100ml of custard though. Only reason I had to pull my 80-90ml wick was because my dripper was dry and accidentally sat on it firing it till I smelled a burning smell. Wick was still in one piece but it did scorch it a little since it was already dry.
