After 4 days of constant use and changing between five different flavors on the same wick...

...Still no gunk, just a little on the actual coils. Didn't need to rewick but did anyway just because I now have nothing to do with my spare time, Lol. Just kidding, I have plenty to do but you get the point. This stuff lasts and tastes great! Thanks again everyone!

Looks like you could've rolled for another 4 days! :thumb:
More like 4 months, considering how clean that is.
dnutz,

Mine stays pretty clean... but what are you vaping "water"?

Seriously what power level are you running?
It really works that well when you get the quantity dialed in properly. I've had great results on wicks that I'd obviously gotten way wrong with amount but didn't know until I looked at the wick. You can find pics, someone in this thread posted a dripper wick after either 80 or 100 ml of juice. No longer white but still impressively clean.

In a kfl I would go with a slightly snug uncompressed/unrolled rayon wick. With fluff at both sides I would trim at a steep angle to the deck with like a. 1/4 inch full size out of the coil. Set scissors against side of base, angle to about a 1/4 inch or so from coil and cut. Then wet and gently get the thin tips of the wick on the deck.

I find thinned tails works much better. Since the wick works more on an ebb and flow it seems it creates a better suction This way it seems.

This is exactly what I've been doing.. I must have watched one of your videos or read through this whole thread without realizing it. :D

I'm using hangsen Arabic 100% vg which is one of their darker tobaccos. Still lighter than bobas I'm sure. I Posted pics@ 80-90ml it was still clean. Just the fact that its 100vg I think makes it a big deal to go 90 with no gunk.

Tbev is vaping a custard flavor to 100ml

This is with no dry burning or anything. There's really nothing to dry burn at this point either.

One thing to note, on my iphone HDR setting makes it brighter and the wick looks whiter when the juice is actually browner. However it would show gunking or burning with more contrast.

OK... I am going to go a few more tanks on my genny and see what it looks like under the coil. The part above the coil is clean not white but the color of the juice (light brown). There is a slight amount of crud a few turn up from the bottom (but just a couple of turns) of the coil but not much (one tank was a NET). Oh - and I am only running at ten watts 1.8 ohm

I will try to post a picture when I get ready to change out the wick but cameras hate me and I have never attempted to post a picture on ECF .

PS - I just tried to read this post and it doesn't even make sense to me. There must be too much alcohol in my DIY flavorings... or sompin.

I've been looking into cellucotton lately and have read interesting things about it. today I stopped by sally's beauty shop and picked up a 3 lb box lol (smallest they had) I've put it in one kayfun sofar and, the flavor is different. better than the organic cotton I've used for months... I dunno, juries still out :)

I've been running anywhere from 20-40 ml of Boba's before I have to dryburn, which is at least twice what I used to get with cotton. That's at 20 watts, regulated. I have no idea what I'm getting on my "clean" juices, I haven't had to dry burn any of them sense switching to Rayon, LOL

I still get reduced vapor and 'coil crud' after 3-4 tanks, regardless of cotton or rayon - not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is with 1/16 or 5/64 coil, between 1.4 - 1.8 ohms, running 10-12 watts on a Provari on the Russian.

On the Elf Queen, I'm using a 3/32 coil, 1.8 ohm, running 12 watts...got 4 tanks before the vapor reduced, still had coil crud.
