Same thing you hear about cotton... Varied reports depending on the user.

Give it time, I think you'll find an aha moment... You just recieved it yesterday... Just the fact that's your saying its as good as or better than cotton after 1 day is saying a lot. It took me quite a while to get cotton down. And lots of people never do. Ever hear
Someone say cotton wick tastes horrible like a t-shirt.... Why do they say that and you don't... Because They don't use the correct density.

I used hemp for 6 months and this blew it away in all catagories... Was able to up wattage from 12-13 to 20-24 same coil only changed the wick. Instant I mean instant change with the very first pull.

Good luck hope you improve your vape game with the new wick.

definitely early yet as you said. watching your video and noticed I do nothing so elaborate when doing my wicks with rayon but maybe I should because just a second ago the set up that has been working really well started to crackle then dry hits. I haven't opened her up yet but I know that the wick must have sagged. I guess with this rayon its the opposite to cotton, while cotton will expand the rayon kind of shrinks. once the wick shrinks, dry hits. now the coil I had in previously had more rayon to it but when I vaped it got that funk to it, the dirty t-shirt taste that usually means to much cotton, or in this case rayon. so maybe by pulling the fibers like you did in the video allows more wicking material into the coil without it choking?

i recently did my taifun like this, not a fan of little bitty coils so i did coil on top....first time to try duals in kf's.....didnt have enough faith in cotton to try it before
I know what you mean about little coils, this is why I turn the coils 90 degrees. This allows for as big of diameter as you want but limits the length which is not an issue anyways.

I've tried using cellucotton as fluff/filler in the Heron, and it works pretty good. I don't have any gp brand fluff to compare it to, so I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. Instead of wrapping it before putting the top cap on, I assembled the top then gently packed cc in around the tube. It ended up nice and fluffy and transports juice to the wick efficiently.

Just rewicked, this time I twisted the rayon into coil back and forth with a much denser piece. Once threaded I straighten out the fibers and slide wick back and forth again a few times. Then trimmed ends. This time I have alot thru this sucker, much more then with cotten. My previous builds started out good but then died because of the rayon compressing and sagging. Flavor still same as previous initial trys, very good but still no real difference to my cotton builds. All this testing today has been with a very strong coffee flavor which really tastes good in any build really, will be interested in seeing how the rayon works with some of my strawberry vapes. It has been my findings that certain fruit vapes just don't hold up as well in devices like the kayfun at hi wattages with cotton wicks, maybe the rayon will shine for me there.

Living in a box of CelluCotton
Fun with CelluCotton, woohoo! :D

I am rewicking stuff I haven't used in a year or more. Did a parallel single coil super macro size sitting around 1.1 ohms in a Pheonix/Bulldog and it's so warm and dense that the flavor is flooring me. Nothing I have puts out that kind of flavor, so juicy. Also went with a macro around 1.5 in an IGO-L and dusting off my SVD to play with the CC in a wattage controlled environment. Both these RDAs are doing things they never did with cotton or silica.

I hope my tastebuds can weather the assault.

I did bow out of this thread until I saw this reply. I had unsubscribed but was looking at my Likes and visited the thread.

The juice DOES NOT TASTE TO GOOD. It taste different and sweeter than I like.
Is that to hard for you to understand.

Why not take your condescending tone and remarks someplace else. You could actually try helping someone instead of making these types of remarks. Or is that asking to much of you?

Your right I'm sorry for being a prik*. Due to the cc's ability to deliver and maintain more juice to the coil some people have dropped their coils down a couple tenths, depending upon your current resistance, in order to take advantage. You may want to try that, or you may have better luck going the other way, which sounds more likely to be successful in your situation, and add a couple tenths to your build.
What are you currently using?
Again I'm sorry, it was easier to be a dickk than to help you out.

Sedge, I feel that what I said is accurate please don't edit.

dna-30?...

In using a zmax v3 with stacked 18350 bringing it up to 24 watts@ 6v with a 1.5 ohm... Thing lasts me 24 hours on a pair, it would take 3 18650s to do that and I'd be capped at 2.5 amps instead of 4 amps. So I get about triple the battery life and Double the Power.

Found out actually my battery was almost dead when I posted that, but yeah this stuff thrives at a much higher wattage for me with out a burnt hit that I was getting on other stuff.

( oh and tbev is at home here)

If it's as good as cotton for you, then the other major benifit will be the longevity of your Coil and wick compared to cotton.

The other sign your using the right density is that the wick will be Completely clean and your coil will not have the normal gunk you would see at that time.

One thing I wanted to show in that video was how if you twist it is brings it down but then it fluffs right back out. Secondly I was sliding it back and forth a lot to show how the big fluffy piece will be smaller when pulled close to the coil. Like I said the amount I used for the 5/64 coil was too little.

There is a perfect density when it pops, I guess It could be slightly elusive at first.

Synopsis:

How many phsychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb? Only one. But the light bulb has to want to change.

Rayon is a game changer, but only if the players are willing to change.

Just some ramblings.

I have some juices/samples that were over powering in some of my attys. So I sidelined them. After some reading on this thread, I tried the same juices in some clearos. Voila! They were tolerable.

So now it appears that fine tuning is the key.

If you're a sub-ohm and/or mech mod then this doesn't apply.

If you have a vv/vw mod like Vamo, Provari etc then play with your settings, It works.
