Yeah I *love* the looks of my Aqua V2. And as for the durability of the FlashE, actually really like how my Erl Nano looks too....I have zero doubt in my mind that it can fall out of plane and be okay. I guess its a prime candidate for a workhorse.
Id have to really try one and see how I like it before taking the plunge and throwing beauty and size out the window lol.

It is about the vape quality, not the looks, but yeah, the Flash-e wins the ugly contest  Offhand, I can't think of an uglier rba, but if I look hard enough, I might find one. I keep almost buying one and I can't quite do it. I'm worried it looks like an other stuff vaporizer. I know, I could leave it at home.

Oh, it gets rave reviews, no doubt. DNA40 question...can one use titanium instead of nickel? I have a severe contact allergy to nickel. I'm building two DNA40 mods right now, but I'm afraid to try nickel.
Either in the DNA 40 Intro thread or the Ni200 thread, several members have reported successfully using Ti wire. TP still works but there is a heat coefficient difference between the two metals where the scale has to be adjusted. I forget exactly but if you want to achieve 420 your have to set it at 450 or something like that.

To me ~ 'looks' come first! If I'm not 'drawn' to a particular item - there's no way I'm ever going to purchase that! Once I'm intrigued I then do my research on how it vapes / performs.

Ps.: I'm not naming any attys here - just saying how I look at things.

I just got the stumpy kit for the Rose in. A huge improvement and has brought it right back into the rotation for me now it's a portable size.

One of the best RTA's for flavour in my view, a pain to build though.
I agree on both your points. Outstanding flavor. Not the easiest to build at first. I took measurements and noted leg length to make it easier in the future.

I too just got the Stumpy kit. I haven't used it yet.

Aside from the height and weight decrease, are there any other noticeable improvements?

I do have some things I don't find particularly attractive. The Sigelei 100W comes to mind. Its a big, plain box. But, its built well, has a great chip, long battery life and nice switches. Its also strong and can take abuse. And a good value. The ZNA is sexy; the Sigelei isn't. But, I like them both equally.

I'm not terribly fond of the looks of the GP Paps mechs, but that switch is so awesome I don't mind the plainness.

My Rose v2 has been my goto tank atty for the past.. 5 months? It really took off for me when I got the Stumpy Kit, and built it to .5ohms with a 1/8" ID spaced-out spiral wire coil. That same coil has been in there for 3 months. I just change the cotton and dry burn once a week and ready to go wherever I go. Never a leak. Never a dry hit. Just enough airflow. Just wish I could change the drip-tip. :(

As for other fav tanks.. Flash-E has been my main in-house tank for some time. It simply has the smoothest draw ever, good vape, no leaks, and holds so g-dang much liquid. I stick it on my Parallax mod (mini 23mm malaysian mech mod), and it looks a little less big/ugly. I use the wide bore drip tip from my BF-99 (great tip), and the 1.6mm airflow screw. For whatever reason, the draw feels larger than the size would indicate.

Will try to post pics later. Great post so far Sedge. I drip a lot these days, simply because most tanks can't trap the super wide crazy twisted-claptoned-stapled builds I make these days, but I'll always love my tanks. The engineering and genius designs keep drawing me back.

You can't tell real well from the pics, but it's 5 wraps of 4-strand 28g spiral wire. I run two separate strips of ... cotton pulled through the coil at the same time. Large ID coils work best on the Rose for the reason.. wayyyy easier to wick properly with cotton.

No other improvements, although it still holds almost as much juice as without the stumpy. I just found the original was too big to be an out and about tank, so it fell out of rotation/was replaced by a few nice gennies. Once you get a build that you're happy with it becomes quite stress free. And now small enough to travel.

I picked mine up from Ben at Vapersphere in Australia, expensive but you get a fair few parts and its just as good quality as the original.

Where did you source the Rose Stumpy kit? I have a clone one someone sent me. It doesn't quite fit the clones I have; the threading doesn't quite match so its hard to get on and off. When my authentic gets here I'm going to check it for fit but if I like it, of course I would rather have an authentic one.
I sent an email to Lee of Eden Mods. He paypal invoiced me. I had it a few days later. This was just a couple of weeks ago.
