1. I sent the GG to Greece using express registed mail with insurance. Imeo didn't opt for registered mail when returning the items.

holy crap suzi! wth they don't have registered mail in greece?

I have never heard of such recall BS in my life. Granted imeo is a small little modder business, but if you want to charge those rates and claim it's the best, it better damn well be, or he should pick up the cost. Especially to insure a return package. The last person that touched it was him, and it's lost. His responsibility not yours.

No wonder sharon didn't want the damn thing with the 'cost' of dicking around with returns, recalls, exchange rates, shipping, etc.

Imeo you should send suzi a brand new one at YOUR expense and get your $$ back from your supplier that sold it to her. Otherwise, I don't see your biz prospering in the USA.

Suzi, I'd be talking to my CC company, like yesterday ;)

Another question I have is why would you have to pay for a recall. The sign of a good company is when they stand by their product. Reminds me of the ipod touch which I will never buy again, because of their $9.99 software upgrade policy. ridiculous. Ohh well I guess no GG for me
Just my $.02

People still buy those things?? Scratchtastic!!!!!

Thanks 'D'. I remember when I was first considering purchasing it was talking to you about it. :)

Unfortunately I used PayPal and the 45 day dispute window has passed. Of course, for most of those 45 days it was either being repaired or in transit. Still is, I guess.

There may be some other avenues of recourse I can pursue...

Bristow, Ok.
Yeah... how long did it take the Transformer to get from Greece to you?

I just got it the other day. I didn't notice when it was shipped. It took longer than that to get to Greece though. That was about a month. All I could tell from my tracking was that it made it to Greece. It still doesn't show up that it arrived though.

Well, this conversation has made my mind up. I know now I will be buying either a 6v Silver Bullet or a 6v Super T, either of which has mostly the same capabilities as a GG at a much lower price, plus there will be in-country service in case I ever need it. Although I doubt anyone here will care whether I buy a GG or not, it meant a lot to me at one time to have one.

Can you check the tracking number for it to see when it was dispatched? I'm just curious.

somewhere out there......
Judgemental I feel really bad for you. I think Imeo should just send you a GG that you had with upgraded lockable button with brass caps. Or send you a GG-T with brass caps. This shouldn't even talked about. \

Imeo has worked so hard to get us the best ecig there is. This is making him look really bad. But he needs to give his customers the best in service. And that is to either fully refund or simply make you a new GG with what ever you sent him to upgrade.

Judgemental I really hope you get this worked out.

It just says that it arrived in New York on August 8 no shipping date. I tracked the package I sent again and it still show that it arrived in Greece but doesn't show that it was delivered.

Once Imeo gives the package to the carrier, it's out of his hands. He can only hope the package arrives safely and in a timely manner. I've seen packages that was sent via USPS from California to Florida and it took 15 days. That's a pretty long time cosidering USPS states that first class mail usually takes 2-7 days depending on the location. We even had shipments take 25 days, usps lost the package, found it and delivered it to the correct address.

If the item is no longer in production and the item is under warranty, the only thing a company can do is 1) replace the item with a similar item or 2) Issue a refund. But seriously asking for compensation for accessories that you've bough is a bit rediculous. What you could do is sell the chargers, batteries, atties and adapter in the classified section to recover your cost.

The best thing to do is wait for the package a bit longer, say 7 more days (I know it sucks) and if it doesn't arrive, imeo should send a replacement. If Imeo doesn't have the Grant in stock he should replace it with the Transformer, unless you rather get a refund.

Imeo seems like a pretty fair guy, so a chargeback probably wouldn't be necessary.

**** this i'm out of this thread, its pointless trying to get a point across, when you know all thats going to happen is new faces are going to appear in here, that have never before posted on the gg forum. so i'm staying out of this one i've already said how i feel, you guys can all jump off a cliff for all i care now. :) have a good day now.

I am one of those people posting in the GG forum for the first time, I came across this thread looking for reviews and info, I didnt know I had to be part of clandestine group to post here. So the cliff is all yours. How snobby!!

agreed, Ill let the snobs have them!!

I think if I had lost a costumers order and had no way of providing an assurance that the product was delivered I would eat the cost and keep the costumer happy, This would make me and others like me have a better feeling for a purchase especially for such a high ticket item compared to others

I must say that waiting for a GG that you just ordered is hard. Waiting to get one back after you have gotten used to it is torture. If you haven't been there you just couldn't understand.
I've never experience it before, but I could imagine it would be hard. We're all adults here, it's just not reasonable for Imeo to send another just because we're impatient.

You're right, stormy. The first time seemed a long time. It took about ten days, IIRC. But there was a couple of days delay before Tim got it shipped.

This time I'm on day 22 with no reliable tracking number and the knowledge that a couple of people have had the incorrect device returned to them; one who was told to keep an entirely different model in lieu of the one he originally sent. Doesn't make me feel very confident.

It's not due to impatience, hyukang. It's because the item is 'missing' - as in lost - and not traceable.

Holy Crap Crash... do you keep your thumb in your mouth all the time, or just when you cry...lol

I can tell you this much, I was looking at a transformer for my next purchase when it come available, and although I am sure there will be lots of people lining up to buy it, I won't be in that lineup. If I am going to pay twice what I can get the same or better quality devices, I better be paying for service beyond the call of duty... I am sure I don't know the whole story, but if manufacturer does a recall, and you pay for shipping back to get the DEFECT fixed, and the manufacturer confirms its in his possession, and then they lose it (its in their possession until you get it back, just the way it works, can't blame the post office), most good retailers would be asking how high you want them to jump.... end of story.

Forget about the refund here, I imagine that the owner of GG has lost anyone that was on the fence about possibly purchasing their product and has now read this...

+1 I am only sticking around to see if the owner of the gg does the right thing in sending one out or is he just going to sit this one out and hopes this thread dies, the fate of my purchase and others depends on it, or maybe I have already been turned to the dark side of the force...

I wondered if others would think that as childish as I did.....Crash is very young, has a lot of time on his hands and is a fan-boy...he's very immersed in GG hug-ins right now but I wonder if he would feel differently if this was his problem. My guess is yes.

It lost me, and I truly wanted one. I am sure it will lose others whom will never post.
