If you meter that defcon from the connector do you get an ohm reading?... From the electrodes?
I just wanted to pop in and say chopper is THE MAN for doing this! I have never once met a manufacturer this willing to stand by their product. I got my first defcon used from another member of this thread. It has a little problem with the window leak and I've had a little trouble getting the hang of it because I'm completely new to rba's, so I pm'ed chopper to ask if I could pay to send it in for a tune up and a new wick and coil done the proper way so I can get used to how it should work so that when it's time to recoil and rewick I know what I'm shooting for. Chopper said, no money, just send it over so I can fix you up! Even though I am not the original buyer and he has never seen a penny of my own money, and with so much going on in his own life. What customer service! Chopper just made a lifetime customer out of me. I fully plan to buy a mini and an atom when I get the hang of this baby! You the man, chopper!Originally Posted by Chopper71 Thank you and I just wanted people to know that even after I get their money the service will never stop.I know Ive bought things and something goes wrong, then the seller just ignores you.I may be late at times answering some PM's or questions but I will try my best to answer each and all.
I never have problems with dry hits. I do burn and water quench the whole wick 4 times and then dip in plain pg and burn with lighter 4 times. By the 4 pg burn it is wicking crazy fast. I have tried the 4/5 and it didn't raise my ohms above 1.6. The 3/4 comes off at 1.3 to 1.4. Depending on the juice I use I vary my voltage from 3.3 to 4.0. I had to get used to a TH that I never got from most of my juices. I only use 4mg nic.Okay some info for RBA noobs lol.I use a Smok Vmax mostly with my DC with a 3/4 wrap.Well I noticed Ive been getting dry hits which has never happened before to me.I always make my wick the exact same way every time and I get almost perfect wicking until now.So I tried a 5/6 wrap on the wick and its perfect vaping at 3.3-3.5.With my ProVari I vape at 4.0-4.3 and perfect. So if you use either one of these or another vari-volt device and you are getting dry hits. Then try the 5/6 wrap and see if it improves. If you are using just a 3.7 device try a 4/5 wrap and I bet it will improve the dry hits.I'm getting 2.0-2.2ohms with the 5/6 wrap on the ProVari.

What's happened to me is that the little ring that goes on the outside of the body comes off every time I go to unscrew the top cap. Is this going to be a problem?
