Yup, I had the same question and emailed him the day I made this post. He assured me they did have the window cutout. And my Dino hide one has it too.

It's good you asked. When I got my first one the pattern we initially talked about didn't have the cut-out. I don't think Tim has a ProVari, it seemed to take him awhile to grasp the concept that a cut-out was essential. I'm really glad I insisted on it. I don't know how tight your sleeve is, but I still have to use something to push it out when I change the battery. It would have driven me nuts having to push it out of the sleeve every time I wanted to look at the LED.

From the sound of it there is no enclosure at the bottom. If that's the case I may be able to get away with just the one and adjust accordingly. This is a nice find for sure.

Yeah, pretty important for me too. I change voltage a lot depending on the tank being used and the juice in it. Plus my button is super easy to wiggle into a menu and I am like ... is going on until I look at window, and then it is like OK I wiggled to a menu. Not having a window would confuse me. And jaming the finger up the bottom to remove sux. That sounded bad..hehe.

The bottom is open.... Sort of. The end of the leather sleeve is folded back into the sleeve for about an inch. Your provari sits on top of this fold within the sleeve. It is big enough to stick your finger in to push provari out of the top, but no way it could possibly slip out the bottom. If you want any pics of anything particular, I might could get off my dead ... and snap a few.

I have a PT1 colored glass, but it's transparent. The blue looks green with my favorite juice in it. Perhaps the PT2s will be darker; if not, I won't pay extra for a colored one when they come out.

COOL! My new Serenity Provari pants are here! Hehe, the funniest part is the cheap $14.95 plain black defective sleeve is my new favorite one. Don't get me wrong, I love the other ones too, but around the house the D-ring clip kinda gets in the way. I mainly wanted the D-ring sleeves for work. Didn't think it really mattered until I tried it. Also the non embossed sleeves are thicker and softer feeling than the embossed ones. Oh and FYI, the only defect was it fit too tight. Going in, no probs, coming out.....wow. But nobody likes pulling it out anyway...right? hehe :glare:

Pics coming up later. Too tired from cooking right now.

Grrrr! USPS tracking say it's due for delivery today and has been through the local sort facility, but the mail usually comes about 3 hours ago. Zip.

ETA: The one I already have has a very tight fit. I have to push it out with a wooden spoon or something similar.

Just checked the sight.... None shown for a Provari Mini. Im Bummed out.

I believe he only had one for the mini when I made this post, but think there were two originally. You can blame a certain kitty (↑↑) for the purple one with a spider on it being gone. hehe Though I made a big dent in the extended cap Provari selections.

I felt so bad for you, this being a holiday weekend and having to wait till Tuesday now, that I ran downstairs and took a pic. So you at least can live vicariously through me for a few days. Since I was there, also had to snap a pic of what was smelling so good in the oven.

Meant to ask about the wooden spoon. So it hasn't loosened up any? My first case, the dino hide, has loosened a lot. But the leather is much thinner than on the new sleeves. So I guess the thicker is slower to loosen. Guess I am going to have to work on a leather loosening solution...hehe. A sleeve stretcher.

Oh yeah, that was a pity like on your earlier post. I felt bad you didn't get it in, so at least I threw you a like on it.

Guess I shouldn't mention that it is was a wonderful day for me. Not only did I get the cases, but I am one of the rare folks who claimed a Billet Box today. I was stealth stalking that site with WebMon program to tell me the instant they went up. Sneeky...hehe. :sneaky:

My wife just found a killer idea for leather stretching on a gun forum...hehe...of all placed. They stated to wrap gun in wax paper and stick in holster over night. So I am giving it a go. Will post results tomorrow. Pretty sweet!!

It is always nice to read back over your posts and realize you forgot to turn off the freakn auto correct word function on your damn cell phone when posting.

Anyway, came up with a method of actually getting the Provari, wrapped in wax paper into the really tight leather case. First cut off a piece of wax paper around 5" long (..ish...didn't really measure). Roughly just long enough to make two wraps around the Provari. Placed the Provari with top of the tank at one edge and lay it parallel with the 12" side and roll the 5" side to two wraps. Make sure you have turned off your Provari or removed the battery. While holding the wax paper taut around the provari, give the large empty end a small twist to help hold and to allow it to fit through the small hole at the bottom end of the case. Thread the twisted end of wax paper through the Serenity Cover and out the small hole end (making sure the button is lined up with the proper hole in cover). Gently but firmly push the Provari and pull the wax paper till it starts to get tight. Then simply release the wax paper and let the Provari slide through the middle of it, filling up the empty portion of wax paper. You may need that wooden spoon to push from the front end to get the Provari all the way seated to the end. Tear off the ends around tank and small bottom hole. Very, very carefully make a small slit around the button and tear back paper from around button. Wouldn't want to leave it depressed all the time whether battery was out or not.

Anyway, may have jumped the gun on posting this method if it ends up not working, but since I already took a pic, figured I might as well go ahead and make the post. Going to try and give it a full 24hrs as was stated on some gun forum (about leather gun holster stretching). If this does work, it was a whole hell of a lot easier than I was expecting. Hopefully it will work and maybe help someone else out there with a tight case. But just to be clear, I bought mine knowing it was tight. That was the defect. But for under $15 bucks, it is well worth an experiment or three!

Ok, I couldn't quite wait the 24 hrs. There was a very noticeable difference in case tightness after ~14 hrs with two wraps of wax paper. I could use my finger to push it out, but still too much force needed to do so. This time I have wrapped it with three layers of wax paper and documented it a little better with pics. Also measured size of wax paper needed which is 6" for two wraps and 9" for three wraps (rounded number for simplification and my diminishing memory). Once rolled, I used one small piece of tape to hold it together close to the tank end (since that portion will not be going in the case). Anyway, everything else is same as above post. Here are some pics. Will report results tomorrow.

Rolling a fatty!
20130901_174207 (Copy).jpg

Threaded it through case.
20130901_174511 (Copy).jpg

Pushed Provari in with wooded spoon handle, till seated (making sure button lined up with hole).
20130901_174609 (Copy).jpg

Cut back really, really careful around the button. Removed excess paper from around tank and sticking out the bottom.
