It appears Tim has become the official leather craftsman to the ProVarinati.

Come on Ocelot, we know you have been wanting that bargain mini with the flames. Just go ahead and get it! hehe

I sure hope he messes up another plain flexi sleeve and makes it too tight. Just hope it is in brown this time. That way I have one for my black moods and one for my brown moods.

Oh yeah, while I am thinking about it. That stretching thing I did with the case earlier in this thread...DOES NOT WORK...I lied. So nobody buy the really cheap, too tight cases. Not until after I buy me at least one more of the standard sleeves....hehehe. Crap, wish I had not posted that trick now. Oh well.

Edit, just making sure folks know that was a joke..right? It does work great.

I think he may be making a few at a time. It's pretty much guaranteed the ProVaris will sell.

As far as stretching, I think it just happens over time. And the more you use it the softer the leather gets.

Oh for sure. But the standard sleeve, bargain black one I bought needed a hydraulic jack to get it out...hehe... But over night with the right amount of wax paper, that baby glides now. ;)

These leather sleeves look really nice. I want one for my mini provari. However, I read on the web site that the bottom is open. Any chance with time the leather give out and the provari falls out? That is my main concern.

I think you would have to tear up the case to a non useable state before it would fall out the bottom. He basically puts another ring of leather on the inside and stiches it in. The hole is just big enough for a finger to push out the Provari. So just my opinion as a several month user, don't see that happening. I am not a leather expert, but I am extremely satisfied with everything I bought from him and looks like really nice craftsmanship. :) Haven't heard of a dissatisfied customer on the forum either.

Well I mainly want a belt clip like thing for work, I am on my feet all day, sometimes driving, unloading trucks, etc. I just need to be able to grab it, puff and clip it back, and keep going. I don't need it dangling around my neck, or flopping around anywhere.

You could clip a carabineer to the D-ring to clip to a belt loop. I wear a badge and lanyard around my neck at work that feels like 20 lbs, so the extra Provari really doesn't bother me too much. But at home, I totally change the case to a non clip. Just better ergonomics without the flap and clip if it is not needed. :vapor:

Just be careful when you're walking. Those ProVaris can swing around and break a rib.

There's no way it will fall out. There's an extra band of leather inside of the bottom that is narrower than the ProVari body. If you took a hammer to the top I don't think you could bang it out through the bottom, without destroying the ProVari in the process. I have two flex-sleeves for my standard cap minis.

I know it's blasphemy to suggest the ProVari is anything but miraculously durable, but you could hammer one to death.
