Alright... Which one of you snatched the brown Celtic Cross right before I came back to get it a few days ago? :glare: I saw it, and shouldn't have hesitated... :)

I must have been a day or so late with my post verses when he actually put stuff on his web site. As I never saw Ocelots purple spider case or the one you are describing. Hmm, one how many more were there I missed out on. Was checking his site daily I thought. Oh well, on really hard items to get, guess you snooze you loose. Just like with the Billet Box mad dash this weekend. Literally, they were all sold out in a 20 minute window, it was crazy.

Ok, the three wraps with wax paper and waiting 24hrs would have been a better starting point than two wraps. Each time I have noticed an improvement by requiring less force to push the Provari in and out of the case. But after checking the two other new cases, they are almost to the point of being too loose. So shooting for somewhere in between. Think I am going to try five wraps today. Will see how that works out.

Update. Went ahead and jumped the shark with 6 wraps. Might as well go all in since 3 wraps got me about half way were I want to be with it.

Yah, I can edit posts finally now. Took a few days after becoming a supporting member as there are some access privileges set wrong on a few forum areas. But no sweat, they will get it fixed up.

I didn't know about editing being a supporting member perk. It seems odd.

Your stretching experiment looks interesting. It's going to take me awhile to understand it - my first thought was I don't have a gun... - but I'll figure it out.

By tomorrow afternoon, I should be fairly confident that it works as desired. I will be more than happy to further explain any portion in greater detail via this thread, pm or however you like.

Yeah, the gun forum part was just pretty funny to me. While I enjoy guns, the fact my wife found it there is just my little joke. But basically she was just searching to help me. She's great that way.

Really kind of thought someone would have caught the jumping the shark reference. Guess there aren't any old Happy Days fans out there. Oh well.

I shall report back at 1600 hrs with the results.

Good deal. Glad you got it. I am absolutely glad I got the $14.99 sleeve that was too tight. It is completely perfect now. I bet your blemished case could be easily fixed too. Not that it is even enough to worry over.

Ok, so it is 1620 and not 1600, I am running late. But my 6 wraps of wax paper and leaving it on for 24hrs was 100% perfect. I can slide it up and down easily hold the tank. But it will not fall out. It is still a little tighter than the other new ones I bought, but I like this fit the best. So experiment complete, 100% satisfied, $14.99 Serenity Leather sleeve that was defective (sold as defective being too tight) was a completely great deal and I love it! :2cool:

Any questions, I will be happy to explain or talk you through it.

Wish I could edit the threads title to let folks know of the stretching method within the thread. Oh well, hopefully it will get tagged on a search if needed.

Yep, I got it today. It's a different shade of purple, lighter and more towards a brownish hue. I like the color of first one better. Anyway, it has a couple of streaks on it from the messed up pearl finish. They look like scuffs. Whoopee! I would have had a problem if it had been the full-priced one, but this is fine. Interestingly, it has a much better spider. He over-stamped the spider on the one I have and I talked to him about possible fixes. He said he would have to remake it. The weird thing is it occurred to me that if he made me another one, he would sell the first one as a blem. I declined. I really don't want anyone to get my purple spider. Lol!

I've had the other one a few months and hold it a lot, so the leather has softened up. The new one is very stiff, but I can't remember if the first one was as stiff when it was new. I don't care! I have a blem for my blem and all is right with the spiders.

I got mine today, the one for the mini with the extended cap is the blem and what is see is the top part is uneven.
The one for the regular Provari with the extended cap actually fits the mini using the extension ring and the cap.
Takes some getting used to and actually not to snug now I don't have to worry about any nicks if well u know

I am amazed, at how there are still 2 blue sleeves in stock, nobody likes blue leather? Either that or he made several?
I ended up with a brown dino hide, by the way. :)

I didn't really pay too much attention to the blue, but man bet it would look good on blk.
I got the brown Dino as well. Pretty nice

Yeah, for a much lower price, it makes a great knock around or outdoor outing case when you don't want to scuff up your good one. And if it is too tight, now you have a method of fixing that quickly (provided you have some wax paper...hehe). I have anything cooking related on hand as I love to cook and grill. Grilling especially (http://www.komodokamado.com/), love my KK grill.

Anyway, very cool you got the case and are satisfied. I love my cases. Makes the Provari look more like a light saber instead of an adult toy. :?:

Mine don't look like sabers, I have standard minis. With tanks on top they sort of look like some kind of little flask someone would have on a lanyard at a Renn Faire.

Well duh, who has ever seen a purple handle light saber? hehe

Guess mine has to be a health or mana flask when it is in the lanyard.
