Serpent Porn!

SerpentRX200.jpg

On the RX200 with it's fancy new sleeve and matching drip tip.

Still no leaking problems with this one for me. Before filling, flip it upside down, wait for the liquid to flow down, then close the juice control. Flip it up right and fill it. Once it's filled and and the lid is back on, flip it back over and wait for the liquid to flow down again. Then open the juice control.

If you close the juice control with it upright, you will force liquid into the chamber.

Remove the top of the tank, not the drip tip, but the top that screws on top of the tank. Put your lips around the tank as if the tank is the drip tip, and give it a vape. Quite interesting outcome. Dont forget to fully open the AFC and JFC.

I promise at least double vapor production but, you lose some of the juice flavor. In return, you get more Nic hit.

Its like vaping a true RDA, minus some of the juice flavor. Crank up the wattage and give it a real good inhale.
Im still getting decent juice flavor but, YMMV.

Now that you have found a new addiction, this is what the Serpent should have been. The "top" has airflow restriction and better airflow should be implemented in V2.

Sofar i like this tank a lot. The @VaPreis filling tips really did help! Thanks for that. I'm using the comp-wire coil that came with it, wicked it with thumbs-shaped cotton, like someone in this topic mentioned, all working great. The only thing is, i get a lot of air, which forces me to DL hit it, no MTL with this tank for me. I think i need to experiment with the coil, its position and the wick some more. Oh and did i mention i really love its looks?

what wattage does everyone prefer?
im finding 65w my favorite. over 68watts and ill get a dryhit or two per
tankload....

I pushed it to 75 watts for the hell of it with a 2mm fused flat ribbon clapton at .3 and it held up fine. But it was sucking juice at a crazy pace, way more than my Crius so I just threw on their twisted wire to see how that would compare and not much difference, the thing is a guzzler. I don't open my juice control all the way either, actually just a tiny twist on mostly 60/40 VG/PG and some 70/30. I had one or two leaks, but like most people here, when I took the base apart the wick was messed up so it got caught.

The trick for me is to wet it, then put a little wick down the juice channel and have a little rest on the side part. Kind of like a hybrid between Mike Vapes and Suck my mod's wicking techniques, then screw it on knowing that it won't catch. Also before I wet it I blow on the tails to make it look like a pancake wick then work using that instead of working with the ends hard as a rock if you cut it and leave it like that or do a hack job like some people do and try to fluff it out with a flathead or something crazy which drives me insane, you can't do it better than just blowing on it as it will fluff up like a magical pillow.

It's a great tank and comparable to the Crius which I'm a fan of too but I wouldn't get another one as I have my eye on maybe the Goblin Mini V2 or the El Diablo RTA which looks like the ultimate RTA but it also has an ultimate price too at $85 for the 5ML and $75 I think for the 2.5ML: Diablo Tank by El Diablo (5ml) Pre-Sale)

Hey all, great thread with some superb tips, my Serpent arrived yesterday but alas a work accident half hour after getting it has left my right hand severely bruised and as such I cannot build it

So a question whilst I await the bruising to go down. How do you change the airflow ?

Mine doesn't seem to want to budge, although as I've said i can barely grip with my right hand :(

I was like WTF is going on here then I made sure it was snug and wouldn't move and twist and twist and twist. Now it's fine and it moves easier than a subtank, however I wonder now with repeated usage for the long haul if it's going to be so loose like a Crius which isn't a bad thing but the Crius has a stop-gap, where this will spin forever. Although if you could make it spin non-stop like if you flick a coin on the ground watching it spin you'll get a unique vape with the different varieties of air flow that you're getting within each vape.

You know there's a clone of the El Diablo RTA, right? In three colors.

That looks awesome on the Stout[emoji106]
How are you liking that mod?

Major, so far I'm a big fan. I always liked the form factor of the SX mini and this is relatively close. I'm not a high wattage guy so I'm getting good life out of the 26650. My only complaint would be the hollow sound it makes when you put it down because of the battery door. Don't get me wrong, I love the device and have both the black and silver it just has a very odd sound when you put it down on the desk.

The silver is a replacement because the first one won't turn on with 26650 inside. VF had my replacement to me within a week and both are working flawlessly.

Just dry burned and rewicked Serpent after a half dozen tanks on my first build. It's been working flawlessly so I thought I'd post the build before I reassemble.

I never close the AFC or JFC when refilling, and have had zero leaks and zero dry hits with 80% VG juice (NET) and ~1mm wick in the juice channels. Coil is a Kanthal Clapton 26/32, 3.5 mm, 3/4 wraps, .55 ohm. Nothing fancy, but works really well.

Hope this helps someone.
