Searching "Merlin" "Augvape" and "Augvape Merlin" brought back "No results found" when I just checked Altsmoke. Maybe they all sold out? Bummer.
No they have the Serpent. But if you want another serpent vaporbeast has the black serpent for 14.97.

I know this is off topic, but i posted about it in the smok thread below this topic. But i guess it can apply here. How should someone deal with a burr ona 510 pin on a RTA ? like that comes from tigheting/loosening wiht ascrewdriver? like how they seem to get chewed up? Mine CAME like that from the factorey on my smok RDTA and it's grinding up my slotted 510 pin on my IPV5.

Should some fine grit sandpaper do the trick? or is it bad to sand down a 510 pin on a rta cause of connection issues?

I would think if you're careful and sand JUST the burr, and don't sand so hard that you shorten the pin, it should be OK. I am NO expert on this, but that seems logical to me.

Be sure to get extra glass for all your other tanks. It's too bad we can't replace the Serpent's glass. :(
So far i broke 1 glass in the past year, i'm guessing my box full of spare glasses will last me a lifetime, but thx for the tip!

I'd put the fine sandpaper on a flat surface and move the 510 pin over it. I dont't know if it's goldplated, but i assume a burrless pin is still better than a burred goldplated one.

That's OK, I like the black one. :)

We (hubby and I) probably have enough stuff to get us through the next 13 to 15 years OK, but I figure the more the better, you know? We're well stocked on nic, too, and flavors, and we actually should have plenty of mods (including a few mechs), but tanks... I don't think you can have too many tanks, right? ;)
Why don't you tell that to my gf? I'll pass her emailaddress by PM.

I got a fused kanthal/nichrome clapton currently in my serpent. I don't know if it's me or my wicking, but for me i feel like i get the best vape/wicking on the serpent is when using a simple stainless steel coil build, nothing fancy. Used scottish roll wicking on this clapton, but i have gotten a few dry hits. On an RTA is scottish roll style not the right choice causing it to wick to slow? is scottish roll more suited for a RDA this way you have to drip less and the cotton holds more juice? ID of the clapton is 2.5, spaced. I forgot number of wraps but ohms out at 0.64. Can only hit about 45 watts before it starts dry hitting. Wick is nice and snug, not tight at all.

Restricted airflow? Couldn't be farther than the truth. It has massive airflow, similar to the Serpent. I shouldn't say it has replaced the Serpent but the Serpent has taken a back seat. I'll still use them. I have 5 but I have 7 Merlin's.

I think it depends on how much cotton is used and wicking. I heard about the awesome airflow on the smok TF-RDTA. When i first wicked it it felt like i was inhaling through a small coffee stirring straw! I thought wth? this airflow is terrible! I put new coils in, pushed them farther away from the airflow slots and used less cotton at the tails and NOW i see what the reviewers were talking about. Night and day difference. I'm mixed though, i don't like airflow thats way too open. I like a little restriction. Like the Aspire Cleito airflow is way too open and also has the added bonus of shotgunning juice into your mouth as you inhale :p I fidn the serpent has the best inbetween when it comes to airflow. I would like a little more, which is why i'm sure i will love the Merlin.

I think that about 45 watts might be close to the top end for the Serpent.
It is not really a clouds for days type of tank.

also did you put the wick all the way to the bottom of the juice grooves?
Seems to choke a bit if you do that.

Nah! i keep the tails out of the channels, and just let a few whisps of the cotton into a small part of the juice channels. Yea i think you're right about the 45 watt limit.

I think you will love the Merlin too, I love my Serpent, love the Merlin too. I think the Merlin is less fussy about the wicking. No leaking when filling like the Serpent, the Serpent requires perfect wicking for me not to leak when filling. I think you will love Merlins look as well!

:lol::lol::lol:

One tank from my experience that had HORRIBLE airflow no matter how i wicked it was the lemo 2 IMO. It was one of my first tanks. Going from that to the Serpent a few months back... what a difference. I couldn't even find anyone willing to take the lemo 2 from me.. even for FREE.

I have a Lemo 2 also, and it's right at the limit for me. I got it from a very nice ECFer who sent it to me so I could learn to build coils. It was my first rebuildable deck. :) If I'm using it for a while, I get used to the restricted airflow and it's not so bad, but right at first, yeah, coffee straw! LOL! The annoying thing about it is it dribbles after I fill it. In desperation, I finally found that if I fill it, then open the airflow and blow like hell through the driptip while holding a tissue around the base (which blows quite a bit of juice out, unfortunately), then wipe it quick and inhale through it a couple times, THEN I can put it back on my mod and it won't leak a drop for the rest of that tank. But, man, what a pain to fill the tank.

Oh you just have me PTSD thinking about filling the lemo 2 lannie. I use to purposely save my old 30ml plastic bottles with the needle nose type of nozzle and fill them up with juice from my glass bottles that had the glass eye dropper lol. oh man...trying to fill that lemo 2 with the glass droppers. I would just watch the juice pour out all over the sides trying to fill it with those.

Well i'm out of juice so no refilling the Serpent until my new batch comes in on Monday. I have my Griffin full, so i'm vaping that right now.. but how long you think 6 ml of juice is going to last me in this thing lol. Luckily i don't have dual claptons in the Griffin, but i have dual 10 wrap spaced stainless steel coils in it.

Should i hit up a local B&M and get a 15ml bottle for 20 bucks to hold me over? lol.

I got most of mine here Merlin RTA by Augvape
I've bought a lot of stuff from them.
It's back in stock then. They were out for quite a while and I got mine from STS. Sitting here using it right now. It really is a great tank. I still really like my Serpent mini though for a smaller volume. Both perform well for me. Only negative on the Merlin is that little o ring on the top that keeps trying to escape every time I fill or wash the tank.

I have a Lemo2 kinda Meh but no leaky on me at all.
I use 50/50 juice.

Well, it must be my wicking, then. :?: If you have a minute, maybe take a pic of your wicking (if you're currently using that tank) and PM it to me? I could maybe see where my error is by comparing...

LOL! Sorry to bring up those "bad memories!" I know, I fill mine with a glass eyedropper (because I'm a stubborn redhead), and it's definitely tricky. One little bubble, and bleh, it starts pouring out. I just blot it and keep going. ;)

I would have already gone and gotten a bottle of juice. You have ONE TANK left? I'm a juice hog, I wish I could give you some of mine. :)

I love my serpent mini for juice that I just vape a little everyday to change things up. It's great.

Yeah, you have to keep an eye on that oring. It likes to jump in the sink when I clean the tank. I'm aware of it now after a juice dumping without that oring in place so it's not a problem anymore. It likes to fool me sometimes by sticking to the underside of the top cap. Little bugger!
