it is next day here...also same day in some situations. i keep it going as someone else uses my account and gets all the benefits and all the same perks (amazon video etc) also. when i get things sent in the US it can be quite frustrating...especially when my wife is visiting hawaii

I really only have it mostly for Grand Tour. Will buy a month when the new season starts.

Happy Friday shiners! Prime has always worked well for me. But as I am in a large distribution location for Amazon, free two day is frequently next day, and same day works out well for common items. Then there's Amazon video as part of it. All together it's worth it for me. But that doesn't mean it works for everyone.

I live ~60 miles from the Canadian warehouse. If I order before 1pm I get my package the next day without prime.

But IMO there's more benefits than that. I didn't realize how much i'd enjoy prime until I found out we had a free membership. I use prime video a lot, the spouse uses the music thing at work. And there's a lot of perks if you're into gaming as well.

Good morning shiny people!

I got no sleep last night so im having coffee for the first time in months. Found some Caramel Macchiato creamer at the back of the fridge I had for company - still good! Thank goodness for being prepared at all times! Hahaha

It is going to be another fun filled day with hubby sick and in bed. I have decided I don't know what to do when I can't fix him or talk to him (as he is no conversationalist today) so I'm sticking with ignoring him.. lol..

So I'm online doing nothing productive, again today.

Found Quora this morning and told someone it was time to start disciplining their kid.. I feel better now.. hahaha. Seriously dumb people in this world though I swear.

The question of the day was some apparently very young parent saying how their 7 year old was smoking and wondered if they were a bad parent.

The answer was kind of - did you beat the kid when you caught him smoking? No? Then yes your a bad parent. Learn some discipline before the kid drinks bleach or burns your house down.

Anyway.. hope everyone is having a much more exciting day than me.. heck mine is starting out worse than yesterday as I've never responded on Quora before and I'm unclear how I even made it to the website.. hahaha

I don't buy that much on Amazon so the shipping isn't a perk to me. I do read but I prefer real books whenever possible although prime still has some benefit there but in the end for me the perks of having it don't outweigh the cost so i pass..

Everyone is different though, some people see prime as indispensable - my SIL ( the one a couple towns over not the one a couple houses down) is one who loves it..

I guess everyone just has to decide if it's a benefit to them..

I used to feel that way about any band attempting to cover another's work. That was before I heard Trent Reznor's cover of Immigrant Song.

Kravitz "American Woman" was pretty good too. I'm generally not a fan of covers either.

Good morning shiny folk, I'm all caught up (woke up early). Got losta plans for today and I hope they pan out. LOL. Get to pick up my juice win from Freedom Smoke USA. since I have a location 15 minutes away. I bet it will be fun (the grocery shopping, not so much but it has to be done. It'll probably be late in the day, but I will have a day with a smidge of shinyitis.

@Coastal Cowboy , you LET your kids accept participation trophies???? LOL, I did not. Everyone hated on me (well, some parents) but I was like, "The participation trophy should go to me, I sat through all these practices, and it looked like my kid was having fun the ENTIRE time, whether winning or losing.

Of course, if I'd known they could be useful someday well, I maybe would have changed my tune, although I do know where most of the Micheal's location is. Plus, a win of mine CAME with a ribbon, but it was about 2 feet long, so I trimmed it.

i had great luck with prime until UPS lost the shipping contract. Not sure if that is all over or just here. I was getting almost everything in two days, and my UPS guy is fantastic, stuff is always on the porch in one piece. My dogs adore him, too, which says something lol!

I still get my packages in a reasonable time, but I have to pick them up at the post office which is not convenient for me. The reason I bought so much from amazon is to avoid lugging heavy stuff.

I had to find another source to ship my dog and bird food because no way can I lift a case of that.

But I still use prime videos every day and buy stuff that doesn’t weigh too much

I also am very happy that I can do 2-3 hits and not have a smoke!!! I feel like an idiot that I started smoking again after so long not! But, oh well. Done is done, back to smoke free I go.
