All of the Dicodes that do TC will fire as low as a 0.05Ω coil. Ni200 & NiFe30 (much lower resistance than SS) was the wire of the day when they were popular, so there is no need to build coils over 1 ohm for TC.

Try building a 1 ohm Ni200 coil. I've run many a 0.12Ω Ni200 coil back in the early days of TC.

wouldn’t low resistance coils like that jump temp too fast? I am maintaining a solid +/-3F accuracy with these coils every time they fire. When I had a 0.6, they normally were +/-7F

Look at how many red Xs I got, I’m used to it!
Well you put an "x" in your username, one could say you asked for it^^

TC is about materials and TCR. Most materials with a usable TCR have a rather low specific resistance so even plain round wire coils can be quite low. Next is the accuracy of the board, if it's very accurate you can use SS (low TCR) at very low starting resistances and you won't be able to tell the difference to a higher starting resistance coil.

It fixed it for him. Important distinction. Morten has his own style of vaping and as with everything it's for some and not for others. He does some experiments but that doesn't make him the boss of vaping (even when he himself thinks otherwise). Sometimes I wish he'd be a little more humble.

I got caught up in watching his videos. Lol He does think pretty highly of himself. I wasn't a huge fan of the AF the original cap on the DR but that is just because i like very airy draw. There was nothing wrong with it just a bit restricted for my taste. The new version of the CC has 8 little air holes instead of 1 big one on each side. I was hoping to get that one but I didn't. I think it would have been a good middle ground. Might try the coil placement he did with the original cap just to see if it works. I did try out larger diameter coils and it is working pretty nicely. I think I will keep the files away from the atty though. I agree I would enjoy his videos more if he were more humble. There is a lot of interesting science to what he does.

There is a lot of interesting science to what he does.
He's doing simplified experiments, that's only a thin slice of what atty science would look like. He doesn't acknowledge the drawbacks his simplifications put on his results (and exactly that has already led him to false statements several times) and seems to think he figured it all out.
I appreciate his experiments, they're useful, but they're not everything and he needs to realize that they have limited significance. Otherwise it would seem like a case of Dunning-Krüger effect to me and his ego doesn't seem to help with that.

The real science part is very hard because an unsolved (and maybe unsolvable) mathematical problem is at the base of fluid dynamics, you'd have to collect data much more meticulously (like in have real data and compute vector fields) and have a much more realistic model. Some models could be reused for atomizers that are similar enough but often you'd have to do the whole process again for a different atty.
If you make simplifications you'd have to prove those are valid.

People are still figuring stuff out about planes and wing shapes, they're still making progress when it comes to jet engines, car shapes are optimized all the time etc etc.

What Morten does is a start but very far from the end and should be taken with some shovels of grains of salt.

I just found out about him through the Njord video. He has some interesting points, but his ego does kind of kill it for me. He addresses that in the coil video and his answer shows he is aware of his over inflated self image. People who think they know everything will never learn or grow to their full potential. I see this with the people at work all the time. You're right though I shouldn't have called it science. Scientists come up with a hypothesis then try every possible variable to disprove it. He is too concerned with being right. Ego has no place in science.

I originally came on here to ask if the coil placement is good on this. It looks like teeth and it is cracking me up way more than it should. I gotta go to bed.

Good morning shiners! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I got sprung by my daughter for a day out yesterday and the weather in NY was about perfect. Hit up two local vape shops and got some more juice. It's still hard for me to get into retail juice. Many out there are either way too sweet or kinda chemical tasting. Still found a few decent things to vape.

I decided to pass on the dual coil Zeus for now. Just looks too fussy for me. Maybe there will be an OBS Engine 2. If not I can still wait as it's not like I'm lacking in tanks. Still waiting to see what else LV will offer with a 250c. I'm just not a paranormal fan solely on the basis of the aesthetics. It just seems too busy compared to the Therion. Maybe a 3 battery version like a Triade will tempt me.

Have you seen the triple 21700 boxer dna250c?

I'm starting to think USPS has tweaked their tracking.
My order says Wednesday delivery but is an hour away, so I hope tomorrow.
I bring it up because someone posted their delivery being moved up.
Maybe they decided to pad their delivery by a day since they have such an awesome history lol.

Yeah, but the case doesn't appeal to me. Some love it and it is admittedly a rugged design with a finish tough to mess up. It's just not what I'm looking for. I'm not worried, the board is only just out and I have no doubt more and more mods will come out with it. It's also nice that the price point is pretty much the same as the 200/250 mods and I can have a little patience.

A little.........

That looks high for a dead rabbit if my memory serves me correctly there are slots pointing down.
