9 mods and 11 attys after 5 years. Not too extreme. I have broken, lost, and given a lot of stuff away tho.
I stopped counting stuff. I used to have it all inventoried in vaping spreadsheet that I haven't touched in over a year.

Hmmmmm... let’s break down this post into it’s components... How long were you a smoker, how much did you smoke per day, how old are you? What style of vapor are you, do you do both MTL, restricted DL, DL?

If you were a smoker like me, vaping is a matter of life or death, I was smoking 2.5 PAD while having to choose a side to sleep on based on how easy it was to breath, often I had to sleep propped up by pillows on bad nights. One device, will not cut it for me with just the simple logic of redundancy and back ups. I barely have more devices than you in my daily rotation, I am normally rotating through 4 or 5 (MTL RTA, restricted DL squonker, and 2 DL RDAs), then I have 2 devices that are current and kept as a back ups. I have 3 mods that are very old and more appropriate for a vape museum with questionable safety features. Then, I have the 3 pod devices that helped me kick but do not fit my current vaping style. Finally, there is the stash, most likely what prompted this post, I am keeping 10-15 Pico in a closet in case the FDA makes it difficult or impossible to acquire devices. I will not allow the government/ FDA to force me to smoke again and I intend to have a minimum stockpile that will carry me through 10 years after my primary devices fail. As I grow and find devices that better suit my vape styles or new cool products that interest me to the point of opening my pocket book, I am sure my collection will grow, so what? As far as the 2 gallons of nicotine, if the FDA shuts down open system juice availability, won’t matter wang size, if you were a smoker like me, you’ll either be sucking on a cancer stick, sucking on a wang, or, you were smart and you stockpiled enough nicotine to carry you through the rest of your life along with supporting a few choice friends vaping habit at black market prices.

For a long time, I had 3-4 cheap devices and stuff to make juice. I quit a 1.5-2 pad 35 years habit while my mil and brother were dying of cancer, stayed quit while my husband died of cancer.

Still stressed and trying to cope with all that while still more crap hit the fan, I’m stocking up for the same reasons.

And it’s my money, I can afford it. And I really don’t think I have an alarmingly large collection. Well not yet anyway.

BC812B07-1DFD-40BD-957F-1665A6721FCA.jpeg For comparison, I will throw my brother under the bus (ignore the mess, he’s reorganizing). He has more guitars than he needs, but he plays and enjoys them all, from the cheap to the (I think obscenely) expensive.The point being, he’s using, not just collecting, which I think is true for most people here with their vape gear. I’ve for the most part found my happy spot in vaping. I have three of the same mod I use daily plus a nice stealth pocket mod, and 4 tanks. I have some oldies I kept for sentimental reasons, some cheap loaners or future backups , and a few beauties I use on occasion at home. And a box of stuff no one may want like the Smok tanks, but I hate throwing something perfectly fine away. If you use it, it’s not wasteful, it’s filling a need. Some people need more variety than others.

My theory is, what’s in the closet doesn’t count. No telling what’s actually in there :eek:

Jesus. I’ve become so slow, so quick...

@NolaMel
Wow! Just wow!! At the guitar collection

Feel free to show off my collection to him ;)
No, he’d probably want yours too if the tone is lovely. He’s been playing for 48 years, so it’s truly a life time collection. There’s some hanging on the wall you don’t see there, and probably more upstairs lol. To most of us ( including his beautiful bride) that’s an excessive number of guitars, but he plays them all

I knew it was a matter of weeks before I got hospitalized for breathing issues again... Cutting back to a PAD and starting duel use was enough to keep me out of the hospital. Historically, I do not go in until I get hospitalized due to working on the ambulance and the stubbornness that comes with that...
