I used to bike to school and back, but it was only 40 miles. I saved my centuries for the weekends. Also ran cross country until my hip gave out.
Then I spent a summer in England learning how to smoke. LOL, it's been a while since I've biked, and I'd have to tear it out and completely recondition it, it's in one of my sheds. Also, while Tucson is designated as a "bike friendly city" and has the oh so renown "Tour de Tucson" as well as biker packs who come train here up gate's pass and Mt. Lemon, well, they're total jerks, really, if you are a driver, and also I have seen SO many collisions, either with an elderly driver, or a cactus.
And, it's 100 degrees about, outside. Where Tucson got that label, I have no clue.
I just know that until I had the ability to drive, whenever and wherever I chose, I was going to do my best to get as far away from home under my own steam. I routinely used to go from my house to Mt. Vernon. That was a great freaking ride. LOL, nostalgia.
Oh, I also had a horse. By that time in my family of origin's "wealth" quotient, no one was sharing a room, LOL, I think maybe including my parents.
