The juice channels will hold more wick than you think they will. You don't want to push the wick so far into the channels that it actually pokes out the holes, but you do want it to rest on the deck.
When you think you have a little bit too much wick in there, then it's just about right.
I’m going to have to take the blasted thing apart and look at it to see what you mean. More likely, it will get a bath and go to the closet of shame until I get over my irritation

See how stuffed the channels are. That's the 22 but you get the idea. You don't want it so far down there that it comes out the slots but you want it full.
Should've said slots rather than holes previously.

Yeh, it's probably underwicked. If I have something wicked properly, it can float around in my purse. I usually you know, juggle after I wick so that I know it won't leak all inside my purse.

I can't give you a specific answer on that atomizer, but I will say the answer is:

Rayon.

Heh.

Anna
I use rayon. I guess my frustration is this is my first rta to swamp out a full tank. My mods are usually sideways in my pocket

Yeah, that would be frustrating. Tricky little things they can be.

Oh well, I remember your worry about coiling, I think we all said wicking was the hard part. It kinda is, for some atomizers. Me and Kayfuns are never gonna get along, I don't think. I'm glad I found that out via clone though.

I did. I was trying to cook and spot read at the same time. Dinner turned out great. You got the clusterf end of things
Think of those slots like the side of subohm tank coil, the way you see the cotton through the sides of the coil.

Well, your Doggys should be perfect then. It's basically a Kayfun style vape, but the larger wick channels and cups make it a lot easier to wick, and the wicking on them will handle higher wattage vaping.

Here a better pic, maybe this will make more sense. See cotton through slot, but not sticking out of it and blocking it of

No smart remarks about my lack of photography skills or crooked azz coil. As my mother would say, I am not in the mood lol. I should know better than to try and build with a migraine coming on, my patience level drops to negative zero. To me, mine looks super underwicked compared to yours. And, thank you for your patience. Not many people can put up with me when I get, um....cranky. Yep. We’ll call it THAT ;)

@NolaMel ... What inside diameter is your coil? The Ammit deck is designed for 3mm and you can fit a fatter one if you're careful. You need that size to get the right wick mass in there. If you're trying with a 2.5mm or thinner coil, it will leak no matter how you trim or arrange your wick.

You also don't want to thin the wick tails very much at all.

It’s a 3. I knew the headache was coming, co I used a coil master, so I’m positive on diameter. At least, the diameter before I started trying to get it in. Then I stuck a 3 post back through it trying to straighten it up. Then decided to just go with a crooked coil till tomorrow
I’ll redo tomorrow. That’s one ugly coil :(
