I honestly never had to get anywhere close to ugly. They took care of me right away. They are also getting the word out on cleaning, have replacement electrode kits available on the website and are exploring the new kit.

As for how it works. Very well. I haven't attempted to take it apart yet. The push on the button isn't as stiff, not that it's a bad thing.

It's hard to get a good pic. It's gold plated and shiny as hell. There's a tumb wheel that's new and a piece that runs from the front to the back of the assembly, essentially replacing the whole switch assembly.View attachment 744553 View attachment 744555

They're waiting 2 weeks and if doors vaper hasn't blown up by then it's interpreted as a successful beta test and you'll be able to get it in the store.

There isn't a kit to upgrade yet. They do sell the current maintenance kit.

What I know:
It's understood that the current switch isn't perfect and cleaning instructions were not given out with purchase from most vendors, nor did dot follow up to make sure they were. They accepted that it ultimately falls back on them. So I mstructioms have been posted.

The kit I have, well let's pretend I'm special because it's gone south twice. In addition dot recognized I wasn't made aware of how to (and I had to) maintain it directly from them after fixed. In an (successful) effort to make it up to me I received the new kit.

Will it be available? As far as I know, yes. There are a few sticking points that I was told needed to be ironed out.

About all I know, all I could say.

In the meanwhile the maintenance they suggest should help. Even have to do it with this kit.

They're very secure as the metal doors are. They're just the polycarbonate doors with a design. It has texture though. Sorta like paint really would, but they add little weight.
