I can't wait for my (earned via blood sweat tears and strands of hair) Shiny. I think, despite the lost vape mirage it is going to have to be a Minikin SOMETHING. I just want it too much. LOL

@Sickbxy and @Rangertrix , what do the two of you do, smoke signal each other to appear on the thread? LOL, I wouldn't be shocked.

And Rangertrix be careful what you wish for with the lawnmowing and etc. I seem to have noticed that um, the more competent and responsible the kids get, the more ready they also are to just MOVE further and further away!

LOL it really sucks, too, all the blood sweat and tears the PARENTS put into making some savage child mess and then it moves far far away and expends all that competence and niceness to some STRANGER they meet, who has done NO work either, other than what has been expended by IT'S parents, really the whole thing can be quite frustrating.

Although I do hear from some parents that if your kid achieves competence, moves away and then RETURNS for like, an extended house you know, reoccupancy, that can suck EQUALLY.

But that is the long and short of it, so well, get that boy mowing in STRAIGHT lines his future wife will thank you. LOL.

And, maybe she WON'T thank you, she'll be a horrible rude troll and say stuff like, "Why do we gotta go see the IN laws this weekend, I mean we saw them last EASTER."

LOL my kid has fairly good taste but I have already given the Official Pledge to Love the daughter in law, whether I am faking it or NOT. I want access to the grandkids. LOL.

I'm hoping my two will move far enough away (oldest moved to South Dakota already) that they'll quit doing their grocery shopping in my pantry, but close enough I can still visit and embare a$s them in front of all their friends.

@Sickbxy I actually saw a tavern called The Possum Lodge in Grafenwohr while I was away and thought of you, lol.
They said the owner was obsessed with a possum in a zoo in Leipzig named Heidi.
Apparently it was famous for being cross-eyed, lol.

I thought all possums were cross-eyed?

A day without Trix's bull puckey is like a day without sunshine........

My SarMar asked me once why I like to torture him, and I told him it was because "I like to see your face turn red. You look good with a little color, by the way."
Needless to say, the next few seconds involved me doing a lot of running and ducking.
Just helping everyone meet their PT quals. :D

Of Course. LOL, I keep waiting for the move to be over, so the husband can stop SOBBING. It's been intermittent for a week, and more or less constant the last 24 hours (except for in the bedroom time, and I will admit it was partially motivated by my financial calculations of how much money per hour we could save on Kleenex during that TIME period.)

LOL, it's precious. I had NO idea my husband had such an abandonment complex. I used to hope I died first because, you know, easier than planning a funeral. I NOW hope I outlive him, even if it's a pain for me, because I think I would COPE BETTER. LOL.

Just the hubby?

I had to help move my oldest to South Dakota, she had already been on her own for a year or two, locally.
Everything I touched made me cry like a little girl.
It was a constant 'I remember when' everytime I went to move something.

I figured it would devastate her mama, but I was the one trying to pretend it was 'allergies'.

I had NO idea my husband had such an abandonment complex.

I don't think it's an abandonment complex.
As a man, you spend every hour of every day trying to nurture, love, and protect a child. Every decision you make takes them into consideration. When they leave, you get a lot scared for them and feel a little lost.

Luckily, I had 2 more to torture and embare a$s; who felt smothered (I'm certain) for a while after my oldest moved.

Their mother, once again, proved how much tougher she is than I. :(
