My VLS sits in the big ole box of meh RDAs these days, tried to love it but the Tauren stomps all over it for flavor.

I mained a resto druid Tauren.

Can confirm, I stomped all over everything while spamming my rejuvs.

I like vertical coils and it was cheap. Isn't the Tauren a dual? I'm not wanting another dual, I seldom use them.
Cheap is good, fun to play with!
The VLS' posts have a ton of metal in them, a single vertical coil in the center works but you might want to try a horizontal too. The idea placement for vertical is on the outside of the posts, but you have to build dual as there is zero AFC adjustment that way. Really none to speak of through the posts either... The holes are angled downwards, so it will take some trial and error for good coil placement. I never bothered with the stacked horizontal coils as the airflow angles down, you'll see when you build on it.

I have run a single centered coil in the Tauren as well as dual. Morten likes it with a single, he actually gets quite giddy over the results. ;)

Queued up at the spot.

Rainy and 79* here. Perfect tank washing weather. The cold is coming from your direction, tomorrow, high of 58* :(
There must have been a mass of cold air blowing through. It warms up later this week. Still quite early for our first treeze. May be a cold winter

Can you vape wet vapemail? Just askin ...

Drill bit (To fix my broken coil tool). 18650 battery wraps. Dedicated silly small torch for peering down the barrel of atty's to tell when to sort out the wicks and coils. More flavours. Spare Muji. And a silly wire-tension doo-hickey that you have to buy exactly the same size as the reel of wire otherwise it is close to pointless.

Oh, BTW I'm in love. TFA Western + Simply Vanilla + MTS Vape wizard = aroma of Marlboro Reds. What it tastes like vaping, I really don't care - I'm just going to carry the bottle with me and sniff it every time I feel the urge.

Beadalon Spool Tamer's are a must have, you appreciate them the first time you let go of the loose end on a roll of 22ga. ;)

You use them as tensioners? Don't know how that would work as the tension changes when wraps come off the spool. A bolt, nut and spring might be a better choice?

I grew up here in the 80s. It was really cool here back then. There are still quite a few cool spots left in town but you won't find them on the Strip. In the early 90s everything started changing. That's when the themed mega resorts started appearing and then in the 2000's they went to the uber modern and high rise condos everywhere. It's very different now, and I miss Vegas when it was small.
Yes I miss it too. Downtown can still be fun. At least it was when I was there in 2008 ish

That's what I thought, they do have a hole to thread the wire through but they seem to only do the tensioning bit properly on the dedicated Beadalon Spool, at least that's what I understand from the details on the pack.

They do a reasonable job of stopping the wire unraveling, but looking at the pics you really are supposed to match the width of the elastic to the spool. Mr Optimist here was hoping one size would fit all, as I didn't match the size on ordering (which I realise now I should have).

I ran out of my favourite wire (26g). I wanted to rebuild but only had thinner wire gauges.

I think I had my best worst idea ever. Parallel claptons for that dual coil single coil build.

6*30g with a 2*38g wrap

This thing has more hot spots than the surface of the sun. When I dry fired it it kept catching on fire. I often get fire from residual juice and what not, but there was nothing there. It just came flaming and it kept burning without stop.

Tossed that 'art project' in the 'art bin' pretty quickly.

Being forced to use a Profile RDA is my nightmare

Heh. I love the profile. I just bought another one. It gives comparable flavor and performance to my dual coils at 100 Watts but it only needs like 40-45 Watts. Not as much vapor but similar heat.

I like the Orion a lot though. Just not a big fan of pods. The Orion’s super power is the ability to make 50mg feel like nothing tho. Super tasty.

That's why you dry burn at a low wattage on a regulated device to work out the hot spots. ;)
