thought I saw a cooking show where they were in Louisiana and someone cooked a nutria. I had never heard of them before and when I looked them up I realized how they could tear some s&*t up
We have some here at lake Palestinian I watch ‘em swimming around in front of my house. I don’t think I would cook one. Was surprised at how big they are for being a rat.

I've never been to Louisiana. ..

When I first married my husband there was a mouse in the house.. I had just gotten out of the shower and hadn't gotten dressed yet, but I had the presence of mind to grab hubbies combat boots and put them on to protect my toes from the disease infested rodent and got up on the bed and called hubby and made him come home to get the mouse. ..

This is one of his strongest memories of me...me standing on the bed naked wearing combat boots screaming mouse!

I'm not sure I could eat one of those big rats you all have... I have something against rats of any size... lol

I googled it lol

"Richard Marlin Perkins (March 28, 1905 – June 14, 1986) was an American zoologist best known as a host of the television program Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom from 1963 to 1985. "

"Martin Luther Stouffer Jr. (born September 5, 1948), is the narrator and producer of the wildlife and nature documentary television program Wild America that originally aired on Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). "

Marlin Perkins would always stay in the boat, or the helicopter while "Jim" did the gator wrestling or Python wrangling etc

I lived very close to there, St. Bernard Parish - Moved after Katrina
Ahh. I don't blame you. Some parts of St. Bernard are still ghost town-like.

I lived and worked around Jesuit Bend, south of the Navy base. My crews rebuilt Scarsdale, Bellevue, Pointe a la Hache and Port Sulphur pump stations. Finished and left in 2009.
