Sounds like it is not making contact but that shouldn’t shut down the device – you should just receive a “No Atomizer” error. The “Check Atomizer” error can also indicate a short.
Escribe is a software suite that allows you to update, perform changes and diagnostics on a dna based mod. No guarantee it will correct your problem but might help identify it.
All the ones I tried are between .20 and .25 ohms, working fine on all the other mods, Colossal, Aegis, minikin.
I emailed support. I’d rather see if they either have an idea what to do, or think it’s a dud and want me to send it back, before I fiddle further.

Your resistance is more than adequate for a DNA device so that is not your issue. Strange it is shutting your device off.
I would also reach out to Evolv. I’ve never dealt with a DNA warranty claim so just a suggestion. Even if they state to go through Asmodus there is no harm in contacting Evolv – they might be aware of the issue and suggest the proper course of action….or maybe even a fix. And if the board is at fault, they might deal with the warranty themselves. Worth a try.

Who was the vendor? If it's a DOA they should do an exchange. Shouldn't have to go to Evolv for warranty work although they're very responsive with stuff like that. I hope you get it sorted out. I've never heard of a DNA board that would just shut down.
@DeloresRose if you purchased from Asmodus they definitely have a phone #. I would call them, it’s brand new you shouldn’t have to fuss with it.
This stinks, @DeloresRose. Such a sad pair of posts: from delight to disappointment in just over an hour. I know that at the least you'll be able to exchange it, but it's lousy that you have to be thinking about that at all. Good luck.
Well, remember that really cheap Cut squonk from 3avape that went MIA the beginning of December? It miraculously appeared today! Different tracking number and mailing date, so I have a suspicion the package got messed up in transit, went back to 3avape and reshipped (different mailing date too). It's a nice surprise to get magic vape mail from thin air and it's even the color I ordered. Haven't even played with it, just stuffed it away for this evening. No complaints on an extra regulated squonk.

Its clearly not a contact problem, the circuitry appears to be detecting a resistance from the coil or at least the presence of an atty. You could try putting the base of an atomiser without a coil installed and see if you get the same result. That way you can eliminate if it is the board that is playing up or if there is an internal short/break caused by pressure on the 510 connector.
As a last resort, you could try a cotton bud lightly dampened (not soaked) with isopropyl alcohol and clean/dry the 510 and threads in case there is any manufacturing gunk preventing a decent connection. Other than that, it sound like a return job

I got it from Asmodus, and they emailed me back. Told me to print out the return form and they’d exchange it, and throw in a Galatek rta for my troubles.
( that last bit is kind of funny I thought because I’m probably the only person on the plant who already has one)

I did clean both the mod and tanks, and I even tried taking the tank all the way off, and slowly screwing it in bit by bit, thinking I’ve heard of some mods that if the pin goes too far, it may not connect right.
I'd exchange it through Asmodus first instead of having Evolv look at it. If it's not the board Evolv won't fix it and will cost you shipping etc.
I would send it back to them. There's no reason to have Evolv essentially replace the board when it should be Asmodus who needs to make it right. I know it's a pain, but it's a fair and fast resolution from Asmodus (the atty is sorta funny but now you can have the two stare at each other).
Evolv is great. They'll honor a year on the board when the vendor would just shrug and say "sorry". But out of the box it's the vendor's responsibility and it sounds like they quickly took action. Besides, it may be faster on the exchange than sending to Evolv and wait for them to troubleshoot and probably put in a new board.
At least now you know what it looks like, so you can he excited to get the new one.
Here's a thought. Instead of the atty, ask them if they'd throw in one or two extra replacement bottles.
I guess the Galatek RDA is quite the lip roaster too, that top cap can retain the heat.

I thought the whole objective behind having a 2 piece top cap was to mitigate heat retention? Or am I missing something with the Galatek?
So I threw the DR on the Cut. Everything works nice, bottle is soft but not too soft and squonks fine. There was the whole ergonomic issue of it being made for left handed use, and I am left handed, but I find it easier to fire in my right hand with my thumb and ring finger to squonk. Go figure.
