It's hard to believe District F5ve went from making a great rda in the Cosmonaut to making the Layer Cake. I was going to get a LC when they first came out but decided to hold off. Once I started reading how well it was received and the peak insulator issues I am glad I waited.

Apparently they have a revised version with an insulator between the screw and the leads. But it still leaks like piss and doesn't have a juice well.

At least it has a nice drip tip though. I love the D5 driptips. Hoping I can use the gold flake with the black base this one has. I paid more for the D5 gold flake drip tip than the actual mod and rda. Worth the money.

I managed to shatter one too. Was in the bathroom, scared the .... out of me when it hit the floor and shattered.

Supper was good (Chicken Satay noodles). The Kylin seems to have suffered no ill effects from being exposed to gravity. My latest ejuice has gone from hero to zero tonight, I think a coil change is in order unless steeping a nut mix actually makes a juice harsher.

FT have dispatched my order, I got a nice photo of the package, a thoughtful touch. Don't think a set of Wasp caps will have any problems getting through customs.

Other than that, not much to report.

I kind of feel like a sense of... well it was like I was all shiny like when I was new, only I kind of know it's not going to suck and I won't hate it. That was ALWAYS an issue early on. LOL.

Happy for you, but they’re the ones who messed up my order. I’m still grudging. That’s not the first time either. I mean I’ve gotten stuff from them okay, too, and it’s only a pod, but the aggravation.

It is a good looking mod, my only gripe is I wish the fire button was slightly raised more, tricky to find if not really looking at the mod, but otherwise I really like it.

I want a Tesla punk 86w tube and a MTL Cube starter kit. I can't seem to find them in one place in the US anywhere and it's a sad event. Because I actually have enough "fake" money to buy them. ALAS.

Unless one a y'all has a genius moment like, I may just end up with the cube. Because frankly, that's what I REALLY want right now it has been CALLING me and OH, do I really need the punk tube?

It's teslacigs though I KNOW it will be awesome. I wish I could pick one up though because after the OH SO TACKY and built to hurt my hands (like, cut them) 220 PUNK with the weird LEDs, I am wary.

It is not heavy like the nano at all, it looks a big heavy mod, but I was surprised how light it was when I got it.

I got a kayfun prime on top, did add a beauty ring so blends better, as is 24/25mm mod.

Interesting. I have a bottle of that brand and found the flavor to be pretty blah, even after changing the settings trying to get a good flavor. I couldn't find any setting I liked with it.

morning all.
the phasing in means no work today but survived yesterday. mostly.
my sxmini me (yup...sticking with me) is in the clutches of a neighbour it seems. will attempt retrieval once it's sufficiently light.

the sxmini meh (sorry me it was fun while it lasted) so far.
charges at only 0.25A (2A charger). the pod has a rubber gasket that needed to be prised out with a knife (i saw one review that featured that and one without...not risking leaving it sans bung for the moment). it's steeping while the 'mod' charges...slowly.
further thoughts and gloomy pictures to follow.

yeah.

battery meter. mind of its own. started at 4.1V then down to 3.6V then back up to 4V (not while firing). after 32 puffs it's showing 3.5V. draw is a little too tight for me but can deal with it. flavour is...ok. no better than my flint (1.6ohm as far as i remember)...for me at least. pod fits snuggly and doesn't fall out when it's inverted. it's light but not cheap feeling. looks good. think it's all alloy...certainly can't find anything magnetic except from the screws. will i get another? nope. will get some more pods however as it'll see light use.
