We are in the 70s and 80s here for the next 2 weeks it looks like. Don't know how hot it is there but through the SW desert your nic should stay nice and cool. I have ordered from Heartland in June before and my nic was fine after the trip.

Oh okay, that's good to hear. It's been in the 90's in the Tampa area this week. Luckily once it enters the state it only takes a day to reach my porch.

I believe the authentic comes with a polycarbonate tank section and you have to then buy either a glass of ultem replacement as well if you use juices prone to damage plastic. I still can't understsnd why a $100 or more rta should make you pay extra for a glass or Ultem tank when that should be standard. Include the plastic if people are afraid of breaks with glass but I can't understand the current reasoning of reversing the two.
You can just order the deck and add on the restrictors and tank of your choice. I figure I'll get two decks, 3 6ml tanks, 1 3ml tank and a set od restrictors for the authentic. Asked Rob about the steam turners top fill add on and my type of juices will mark the ss so I'll stick with the bottom fill. Little loud and turbulent but I'll tackle that tomorrow.

I just ordered my first order of DIY stuff. All I can say is don't do like I did. My order is doing the slow haul from California to Florida, in all this heat.
It'll be fine. Just stick the nic in the freezer until you've ready to break down into smaller bottles for freezer storage and usage.

I assure you my first order of DIY stuff was far far more ham handed. It was some sort of goofy kit and contained almost entirely stuff neither I nor anyone else actually uses. The only thing out of it I’ve still go is a plastic 20ml graduate cylinder. Mostly because it won’t break. There were 2 foot long glass Pipettes with a hand held mechanical suction device, erlameyer flasks, it was ridiculous.

Both have long metal needles. One looks very wide, and the other is about half the gauge.
Didn’t you order vg base nic? If so you're going to wish you ordered pg base. Those needles will work for you fine. Pull plunger up to the ml you need, the vacuum will do the rest.

I did order vg. I didn't even consider that there will be such a small amount of nic used in comparison to VG itself.

The needles themselves are more annoying than not. VG won’t even flow in anything under 16gauge and you want blunt tipped. Luerloc ends are handy imho. Friction ones aren’t bad either, but I generally use those without any needle on em at all. They’re measurement devices not for actually injecting anything. Also kickass squirt guns.

...and be patient. VG moves sloooow through narrow spaces.
