Thanks Eskie. I am constantly on the lookout for gear at decent prices. I hit the clearance isles all the time.

Cool. As a collector of all things asMODus I knew you would want at least one.

They truly are. I hope you and Delores like them.

Shipping was quick too. Eight days from order to my mailbox. That is a record for shipping time from China to here.

One more photo. I was sitting at the kitchen table and had just set the Rosefinch down when a Luna came sliding across a short distance to the Rosefinch. I picked up the Rosefinch and its magnet had the Luna firmly in tow. Talk about heavy duty.

I took my rda off for the photo and had thick bubble wrap on the floor just in case. ;)
There is a little less than a third of juice and an 18650 battery in the Luna. The Luna is not very heavy. I did the same with a Colossal with battery and an rta with my hand there to be safe. No, I am not going to try for a photo of that haha. You'll see when you get yours.

That’s how family ought to be, sticking together!

Before that - here's Luna, about to play the 'knock the mods off the table' game ;)

Yesterday I saw my local shelter had a dog named Luna. I’d have adopted her, but she’s not good with other dogs.

I got hussar v1 cloned RDA and the freehand gloom clone mod

gloomcolossal.jpg

Mod is tiny, I used the Colossal to show it's size. First impressions of the Hussar v1 RDA are - I love it, perfect draw (loosely goosey mtl to restricted lung, amazing flavour, and so far it squonks well.

The mod has awesome hand feel, the bottle squishes well, and I'm getting used to the fire button up the top ;)

I stuck in an n80 28ga 2.75mm id 6 wraps coil, came out at around 0.9 ohms. It's spot on wattage wise at 4.2v, but I might go a bit lower in the next coil.

As for squonking  so far so good :D

She has a look that is definitely saying "How could I possibly know my backside is just millimeters from your tippy things when my attention is so obviously directed elsewhere?"

Awesome!!! Now that I see it next to a mod I have the Gloom is small. Glad you like your squonking setup. And that lil Hussar flavor banger rocks.

Squonk on Ange! :headbang:

Thanks. The gloom is a lot smaller than I thought, looking forward to getting mine. Should be here Thursday. Gosh, I have five mods coming. I need to simmer down!

No simmering down allowed :rules:

And it is small, and very comfy to hold and squonk. You can help me find the best way to hold it and hit the fire button - at it moment I'm doing thumb on the top and fire like this:

Dropping out of vaping and then dropping back in 2 years later has been kind of weird. Seems like AsMODus has become the new Provari, and stabwood ("stabwood", really?) is the new titanium.

The term "stabwood" threw me for a loop at first, because as a luthier, "stabilized wood" is wood that has been heat treated ("roasted") and doesn't need finish. In fact, before I left the last time, one of the Tootle Puffers was making a roasted cherry mod, which he referred to as "stabilized wood". Which it is. Wood that doesn't need a finish.

Here's a cedar guitar body I did a couple of years ago ("Janine"). I coated the wood with a heavy layer of clear epoxy resin (thinned with acetone), and let it just disappear into the wood. A few days later, I repeated the process. Then I sanded and polished it smooth, and the color will probably never change much. It also added over 2 lbs to the weight of the body, so I won't be doing that one again. Or maybe I will. I wonder if people would pay more for a "stabwood" guitar?

Cat pic (Shiloh left, Sasha right) inserted and crossposted shamelessly.
That is one beautiful guitar! Is being a Luthier your main business?

Can't believe how fast Luna is growing @AngeNZ, she's a stunner. Sweet little setup, glad to hear you're enjoying it.

Posted your G&G meme on elr, you got a "priceless" comment posted. Of course I had to post the gray .... meme as well, think you may have stumbled into your true calling.:D

Luna is very cheeky & intelligent :) Our Madame has stolen a dogs tail, it's constantly on the move, it's powerful too so can knock full cups and mods over ... when she's not lying on my keyboard that is.

The gloom is a fantastic piece of kit for the price....iconic and repeated shape by many other modders....it feels so comfortable in the hand doesn't it?

I've got a blue one coming to go with the black I already have.

Hope yours goes well without issues :)

It's the closest thing I have to a business. It definitely takes up as much time as I want it too. I owned a tax practice, but had to sell it three years ago. I have Parkinson's, and had recently been diagnosed with Parkinsonian dementia. You're probably OK with buying a guitar from someone with dementia, but you most likely wouldn't want to have your taxes prepared by one.

You did some research regarding the quality I presume Charlie?
You maybe have a link to that handy?
Yes well as much as I could....everyone says that the quality was excellent. If you're worried you could wait until I get mine and i'll let you know what it's like...

They are called Hiliq...shenzen based I believe. They were very helpful with packaging etc...

By the way I still haven't got to the surface yet but haven'y forgotten. I've been trying the Legend DNA 75 26650 with the Prime clone on top :)

An up to hour and a half break from the regularly scheduled program here for youngsters of all ages who might be interested.

While I am a septuagenarian I still enjoy some younger moments, especially when it refers to things that remind me of my spending much of my life time out in the wilds of nature.

Vape them if you've got them...

Good morning shiners! Off on errands and promised things I committed to doing before I realized they're all at the same time. Trying to work out the quantum mechanics of getting myself to two locations at once. Can't be harder than using Steam Engine for a coil, right?
