So sad but so happy, she has a new home with new owners to love her.
It was happenstance... our vet was a childhood friend of princess #1. We went after the clinic closed to pick up our pup’s cremains. Cali was there. 18 pounds of senior cat no one wanted. We brought her straight home. She was so traumatized, but is slowly coming around. I guess we were too... losing our dog so suddenly. I needed her as much as she needed me ;)

It's so funny I wait until I know my cat Chance is asleep before I start building or rewicking so I'm not bothered by his inquisitive nature to investigate but he always knows no matter how quiet I am and has to check things out .

Chance is awesome! I gave up the "trying to do it without" cause it never works for me.

I’d steal that baby in a heartbeat , rewicking fouler or not! Mine isn’t that interested in anything but “nest building” (yes, we need a bath... yes, I’m dreading it... ever try blow drying a cat???)
So cute! Yes, my wife was a groomer. I've seen her groom cats who did not appreciate being groomed (nails, bath/dryer). She had to wear gloves for the fighters. We always started bathing and blow drying when they were young if we had them as kittens. Some rescues were downright difficult. I use one of my wife's mongo dryers she used in her business. One cat is fine with getting her nails + bath/drying while the other not so much but getting better. Fun times...

Got my kayfun 4 today. I don't know if it's authentic or not. I found a list of clues indicating fakeness on Reddit, and mine meets none of them except that the logo isn't centered between two air holes. I don't know. Maybe it's the real thing, maybe not.

The seller also included a couple of spare drip tips, one stainless and one glass (I've never tried a glass one before) and a gold Vicious Ant Kraken. That certainly appears to be authentic, which gives me hope that the kayfun is as well.

The Kraken is a completely different build from what I'm used to. Stainless steel wick! Vertical coil(s)! I wonder how I'll take to them. Got to work on loosening things up a bit before I do anything, though: I can't adjust the airflow as of now.

I have 3 kayfun 4's that I pulled back out of retirement since going back to mtl. Two are clones and one is authentic. When I put them away I did so in pieces and in the same box. I had one hellava time trying to differentiate between the clones and authentic. I am still not sure I got it right... luckily two of the three decks would not go in one of the bases, so I determined the one base was authentic and the two decks were clones. So I know I at least have 1.5 % of all the 2,173 parts correct.:):)

She loves water and baths, but her maine .... fur takes forever to dry... and she HATES the blow dryer. Funny for a cat that’s happy playing in the tub!

I come from a similar background. Cats with nails, we would have to wear these.

@Zazie , did it come with the original box? I didn't buy the 4 but if memory serves me correctly there would be a SN on the box for the K4. If so, you can verify that at SVM or send them photo's to have them verify it.
Unfortunately, it did not.
I am.
Edit to add: On the Kraken, if you are not sure with building ask vapdirr or Bronze. They will help.
It is certainly a new building style for me. The seller included a length of mesh wick, but it doesn't fit in the wicking hole, so I need something with a smaller diameter. I watched a GrimmGreen video in which he installs two vertical coils and threads cotton wicks through the holes, so I may go that route. Good to know @vapdivrr and @Bronze can offer help if I need it.

My wife had gloves that were similar but not as heavy duty. She cut the fingers off in order to handle her tools (scissors/clippers etc) and the cats/dogs better. She had her grooming business in with a veterinarian and there were times where they had to anesthetize an animal for grooming.

One would be surprised at how many people came in with cats, and dogs, that are so matted they required being shaved. Trying to pull out, or comb/brush, them just out isn't possible. Naturally customers don't understand that... brush or comb and you won't need to get it shaved, duh. Many of those were two people jobs with one to hold while the other did the grooming.

Or the ones who haven't had their pets nails clipped in a long time. I trim my cats nails every 7-10 days. One is real good and the other is a fighter who raises hell but doesn't bite or scratch (well, a couple times yes lol).

I'm sure you know all about this stuff coming from that kind of work. Nice dog btw.

Morning Ange. Isn't it funny how they like to [try and] help? One of mine likes to lay across my shoulders when I build/wick. Plus dog at my feet while the other cat jumps on/off the table.
So knackered one... did you take a nap? Naps are real good and healthy IMO. ;)

She plays with screwdrivers and bottle caps in the sink - and always falls asleep once I'm done and everything is put away. I've tried @bigbob2322 's trick but she has a spidey building sense that activates, every single time ;)

My vet would always compliment my Pomeranians’ coats. Never any matts. I brushed them constantly. You always see them looking cute when they’re young, but a lot of people give up when they get older. Don’t have a high maintenance pet if you’re not willing to care for their hygiene, I say.

And I know, some are difficult, mine were, but they got used to it. Millie even came to enjoy it. I’m weird and rather like brushing my dogs though, and that helps. They know when you’re relaxed and that relaxes them as well.

Is it the original Kraken or v2? If you end up building and wicking it and vaping it successfully - you will go down shinyitis folklore history :wub:

It's an original, and now I'm going to have to try to master it. Just watched a Vaping Greek video that made me think maybe I could. Someday when I'm feeling calm and strong, I'll give it a try. If I can get the airflow working, that is.

My flower of life got here (Squid Double Barrell 3) but my husband at the same time we had a reunion of sorts so like now I am too tired to OPEN it. I would love to say that would be the case FIRST thing tomorrow but I am still a groggy mess (with notes) but this one, I promise I will post pictures of. LOL.
