Good morning !
I have never before had a tank just up and piddle all over me...
But last night that go tank thing I won...still about 1/4 full just up and drained out the air flow.
Just sitting here watching TV and REALLY started smelling peppermint...looked at the mod in my hand.
Mod, switch, hand...drenched. I hope it didn't get inside as badly as it seemed to.
Tried my best to suck out all the liquid from all around in the switch. ( yuck ! )
I had two 9ml CCI BFDFT tanks drain out over night once... What a mess, needless to say I stopped using them as they couldn't be trusted after that.

...and guess what isn't working now.
Yep, the new Proton.
It still worked last night.
Turned it on a little bit ago...barely a poof of vapor.
Put it to charge...nada.
Took batteries out an put them in a charger...to "make sure"
Removed tank, made sure all is clean and dry.
I think the liquid leak killed it.

You'll get some great recommendations here.....all that's needed is your vaping style and 'bob's your uncle' :)

There are some great clones and some really great OG's too. It's always great to get the advice here as it's tried and tested.....it's never let me down :D

By the way.....well done for 10 months death stick free :nun:

Hey Charlie! Between here, YouTube, and Reddit....I'm overwhelmed, but lovin' it. Very glad I found ECF. Sooo many great people here.

Thank you! The excitement of quitting after 42 years has not diminished at all yet, and I hope it never will.

Oh yes, I certainly found that one ... and fell in very deep.
Pretty certain I've built a rather nice home there. :w00t:

Awesome, as long as you had a lot of fun ---> your mission was a success.
Question ... what did you buy??? ;)
Stabwoods???

Actually, I just got some e-liquid, walked around a little bit drooling:drool: and then had to leave. But, it gave me a lot of ideas on how to spend my money:glug:

If you got all the juice off the Proton take a lightly dampened rag and wipe it down (insides too). Clean out the 510 connection and battery compartment + battery connections. If you, or hubs, are able to open the Proton up then clean up the insides too (if any juice got inside). Let it sit and dry for several hours. Then give her a retry.

Wow, you sure are having a rough go of it, tank gushing then mod dying.
Are you sure none of those lil' lizards got in? j/k

I know Anna @stols001 has had multiple coffee mishaps with mods and she was able to get them working again.

I’ve had tanks dump on me, but never kill a mod. That sucks. I still would probably let it sit a week or so and try it again, before I chucked it.

As your avi demonstrates, within the Matrix we all have a choice ... Morpheus offers red pill or blue pill.
You, like most here, chose the red pill ... welcome to Wonderland!
No turning back now. :matrix:
The Matrix trilogy is a big time favorite of mine. ;)

It's one of my all time favorites too. I guess my only choice at this point, is to quit fighting it and just submit.:toast:

Try dabbing a bit of alcohol around the fire button and 510 plate & pin, then leave it upside down for a few hours on a paper towel.

Spent about four hours in the emergency room last night with kidney stones. I don't tell you this to get pity (though I certainly deserve it :D) but to say that I rediscovered how much I love my pico with a doggy on top. Had the doggy filled with my own peppermint-koolada mix and vaped like I owned the place.

Hi Mike! I have had two kidney stones this past year, so I do pity you. I went to the e.m. feeling like someone was stabbing me repeatedly in my lower back. Some morphine and a few hour later, it dislodged and moved on. The first one was 9mm:shock: and had to be sonically crushed so it could pass in little pieces. The second one was 4mm and passed not so quietly:censored: Drink lots of water

    Morning shinies ;)

Only been vaping 10 months now, and I got a lot of vaping hardware already. Is this normal? Is this where I belong, because I don't see myself slowing down anytime soon. Shoot! 42 years of smoking came to an abrupt end 10 months ago, and I still feel like I'm just getting started with vaping......and having a $#!t ton of fun doing it.

You easily beat my 10 month collection - congrats in being smoke-free that long :thumb:

When your collection of mods, attys, pods etc is way beyond putting together for a single pic - you know you've found a rabbit hole or two ;)

A member here had a tank leak all over his mod and like you nothing worked so for the heck of it he put it right in front of his A/C'S evaporator coil and let it run for a day then checked the mod and it was ok.

Hi Anna. In my family, my wife is always right. I learned that a long time ago. I love her so much.

Aww that's so sweet. In my family, whomever is correct it is correct. I'd rather be wrong than ignorant. LOL I think my husband loves me very much too, but I don't require rightness at all times to love him back. Oh man, that would be BAD. We have very different skillsets and educations.

But, if it works for you and your wife, I'm happy for you. :) Glad you love your wife, etc. :)

I hate to say it about the Proton, but mine up and died on me without my doing ANYTHING to it. Protons are known to be fragile mods. I really enjoyed my few days with it, never leaked a drop, it just died.

If you can dry it out and warranty it, I would do that. Because it s not ENTIRELY typical for a tank leak to destroy a mod. I wound up not dealing with it because by then it was like, "IDK if I want to bother." It's a nice tank (ETA I mean mod LOL) but not a very reliable one.

I have the 4mm version. I had one about 10 years ago that also required a trip to the ER. With the medicine they sent me home with, it went without fuss, though I'm not sure how big it was. Hoping for the same this time. They did send me home with enough pain and anti-nausea medicine for a few days.

Yep, resistance is futile, and you've touched on another favorite(s) of mine. Star Trek, in all its incarnations, going back to the original series are much loved here. Funny, I DVR the reruns here and there.

I hear dilithium crystals go well with certain mods and stabwoods btw. ;)
There is a lady of bling here who can attest to this with pics ...oh @Katdarling where art thou...

I can't watch the originals, I think it's that Shat guy he drives me NUTS.

    I have tried.

Of course, some of the characters are super annoying, but like, I LOVED the newest series that I believe got cancelled in bad blood or whatnot because they killed off the nicest character. That was gonna be such a great series, I think some of them wanted more dough or something.

    That one ended badly.

My doctor described mine as “the size of a peanut”. I had lithotripsy 3 times on that thing. I still have a bit of it in there. It’s been 25+ years. It kicks up from time to time. Miserable business. Not as bad since I started drinking bottled water, or at least filtered tap.
