Been trying to catch up for days and finally just gave up. I have no shiny to show. I have fancied NOTHING in weeks.
I do however have this cute pic of two very best friends. The foster Clementine and my dog Daphne. Where you find one, the other is right there. How will I give her up?

You don't need to, she has found her forever home. She's convinced Daphne, she just needs to convince you now

    In non shiny news:

Missy our stroppy cow had her calf this morning. We were all worried as it's her first calf, plus she's only 15months old. But she did amazing

I didn't get too close, as she was stroppy pre-calf and is even stroppier now, and yes they are horns ;)

Her teeny calf is about 2 hours old in this pic, and a boy. The huge fluffy calf in the background is Meredith the Highland

And to return the love... I found a SOV Shift mod SS 18650 mech for $29.99 while looking for some gear for someone else. I bought one. I recall you saying you were on the lookout for a decent SS mod. It's a solid block of ss304 and the contacts are silver plated.

This is a horrible support group, I just now ordered the Shift. Thanks. I’ll be out of funds soon, certainly before the end of the month!

Man, I'm not believing the price on that Stentorian. I've seen it for $49 and $19 but really?
Let me investigate. There must be a hitch. $20 shipping maybe?

BTW, for a support group, this support group sucks. Thank god AA doesn't work like this.
We are like the reverse of AA ... professional enablers.

And you just made my point. We support each other through enable-ment!!! ;)

Awwwwwww ... her calf is so cute. Awesome photo Ange. I love little Meredith just chillin' back there, not a care in the world. I wouldn't get too close to Missy either, especially if she has that attitude. But she is pretty too. Dang, the more you show me the more I want to go ... I can help with farm work!!! ;)

Do you have a Gear? I'm wondering how much different the Kelpie and Gear are for small single coil RTAs.
    i have the gear.
the kelpie wipes the floor with it in my opinion.
better flavour, nicer airflow, more flexible build deck and comes with 3.5ml bubble glass.

    morning all.
the me, BB, FT and SXK story continues.
SXK asked FT to ask me if the BB had any loose wires on the board.
firstly...should a consumer have to open a mod and inspect the electronics, board and soldering? no. no, they shouldn't.
i have inspected one side of the board but i'm not unboxing it again, opening the mod again and examining the other side. what if i did find a loose wire? what difference would it make to SXK? they'd ask me to solder it? nope. i'll do that as a last resort if i have to send it to evolv.
i want a replacement that works. the ball is firmly back in their side of the court as i told them there weren't any loose wires (which i don't think there are).
    rant over.

"Loose" wires are less common compared to dry solder joints, accidental solder bridges, no solder and cracks in pcbs, in my experience of all kinds of kit not just vapes that is. I've also found many blown components, missing components, components the wrong way round and of course the pcb that frizzles as soon as you apply power for the first time.

Asking you to open the thing is the pinnacle of bad customer service!

    exactly.
a solder bridge between pins 5 and 6 is suspected but i've not even had it 2 weeks, haven't abused it and there's been no liquid ingress. i have soldered mods but they've been prototypes i've built or things that are well out of warranty.
it's their problem as far as i'm concerned and i've asked for a replacement not a refund. i'll update with more scintillating news as it happens :tumble:

Careful that they don't now say it's out of warranty because you opened it :)
