I was awakened at about 1 am by my brother, pounding on my front door. My mom passed last night, peacefully in her sleep. It comforts me to know her struggles are over, and she got to see all her children one last time before she went.

I may be scarce the next few days as there are a lot of things that will need to be dealt with.
Prayers for you and your family. *HUGS*

I am so sorry. My mom passed 3 years ago Sept 12th. The world changed for me forever. I do not know how to tell you to say Good Bye to your mom. It sounds like you are concentrating on the positives and that is good. Hugs to you DeloresRose~

I'm so sorry, @DeloresRose. At least, as last illnesses and deaths go, your mother did pretty well. I hope she went to sleep happy after one last bowl of ice cream.

Final offer.. vape bunker plus three attys of your choice in exchange for mailing me Gemma’s flop eared lamb. Sounds reasonable

How about you name her? ;)

    Good morning shiners!

@AngeNZ , given recent global events, I'm happy to work as a sheep herder in exchange for room, board, and freezer space for my nic, which I'll share.

    Is herding sheep hard?

It's easy, you make noise and they move - what's hard is getting them to move exactly where you want them to go ;)

Plus we have about 10 old pet lambs in the flock, who completely ignore you and go only where they want to - Gemma is the ringleader

Everybody in Shiny land is more than welcome over here :thumb::wub:

Isn't an old pet lamb really a pet sheep? (see, I'm educating myself to be a vaping refugee early)

    Sorry for your loss.

My mother went in a similar way. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Got to where she couldn't stay at home any more, she moved to a nursing home and died a few days later. Suddenly with no drama.

It's never good. But like you said it was a comfort that she went peacefully while she still remembered who we were. I went over to visit in the nursing home. I was torn up seeing the patients who had been there for years. Glad she didn't have to go through that.

Oh gosh . My favorite show as a little girl was a puppeteer named Shari Lewis and her sock puppet Lambchop. I still have the lamb hand puppet lol. Maybe Cherie Amor? Tie in a little Stevie Wonder. Whatever you decide on, she’s precious!!
