Haven’t been around much my best friend little Levi has been ill and passed away yesterday.

It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride I can tell you. He would been fine then go downhill then be fine for several more days then suddenly go downhill.

In the end he probably had a stroke because of his cardiac problems. Fortunately they were able to keep him a live long enough that I was able to spend the last few minutes with him as he passed on.

I am so very sorry. I know how much it hurts, and I prayed for him to get better. Sending you love and hugs. I have a link to an etsy vendor that makes nose print or paw print jewelry if you want it in the future

It is the V2 Supreme, one I replaced the flat deck with a velocity deck. Newer then my die hard V2 Supreme, which left Georgia as my daily driver. Was my ADV in California and came back to Georgia to my ADV. It is a darn diehard.
This one came with a postless deck and I changed it out and was happily vaping with it for a couple of months

I might add: Each time I have taken it apart to re cotton it, the cotton is dry, Tank full of juice, set to juice open and cotton is dry
Since you know how to build the SV2 we can rule out the basics. There was a guy on the Steam Crave FB group who had a similar problem and what it ended up being was the base and JFC ring were not manufactured properly and didn't line up. It took him quite a while to figure it out amidst all the you haven't got it wicked right foolishness.

The quickest thing to do would be to put the base and JFC off of your working SV2 over onto the one that doesn't work and see if that fixes the problem.

If it's still dry try looking through the juice slots in the body (with the base removed) to see it they are obstructed in any way, or put a piece of wire down through them to see if goes through to the tank. I can't see them being blocked though so that's grabbing at straws.

I was hoping you would weigh in so I could also avoid all the "wicking is not right" talk and I know you know your mizers.
I am glad to hear there is another with the same problem because it was so darn strange to see dry cotton even with the juice flow open.
I did already use a pipe cleaner to make sure there was not something blocking the flow.
I am just going to deem this base broken then without changing things around.
Let me know if you know of a sale on any of the V2's and will pull my velocity deck out of this one before I toss it in the woods

You can contact amy@steamcrave.com and explain the situation to her. It would be quick to unscrew the base from the working one and put it on the questionable one to see if that was the problem. Steam Crave has all parts available as replacements, you just have to contact them for anything not listed on the website. If you can show that the base is actually the problem I imagine Steam Crave will mail you out a replacement for free or just the cost of shipping, worth a try.

Thanks so much Charlie.

Good luck with your treatment tomorrow. Hopefully it will go like my friends and be so much better than the 1st round. I’ll be thinking of you. Please check in to let us know your ok. I hate when people just “disappear”. This may be social media but we develop relationships and strong attachments to people nonetheless.

Prays and thoughts!

It meant the world to me that they were able to keep him “around” for the 30 minutes it took to get there. I was able to “hug” him and tell him how much I loved him. Then we let him go.

Today’s been brutal. Everywhere I look I see something of his. Every time I open my mouth I’m calling for him 1st. I know it will take time but my heart is hurting so much right now.

Than you so much. I was so sure he had turned the corner but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. My heart is broken.

Been on FT for the last hour, and wound up ordering 2 of these:
    https://www.fasttech.com/products/9618533

and some non-shiny wire. I love a coil around 0.5ohms on the unregulated squonkers and I wanted to try something different, so I went with a kanthal twisted 30*4 wire, which is certainly different ;)

The Nar style tanks are supposed to be pretty good, Flavour Bangers! Nar, Nar:pervy::pervy:
I actually got myself one of these: https://www.fasttech.com/product/9212900-coppervape-narta-styled-rdta-rebuildable-dripping Among a few other little goodies;)

I'm interested to know how your twisted wire will go, I twisted 2 strands of 28 gauge together and it vapes very nice:D I do think the Twisted wire will suit you:lol:

Yeah it would be stupid to not check it out at least. The only thing stopping me is the chance that I get another burnt hit.
Dumb question: Is the base just the little screw on part that hold the j.flow ring? For some reason I was thinking the base was what was holding the coils
