I used EBay once Mabye 4 years ago now. Bought a nice track suit and then never received it. Tried to contact the seller but it said I couldn’t message him because it had been a month since my purchase. Also couldn’t message anyone from eBay for some reason or just couldn’t figure out how to. After that I never bought anything online and vowed never to again . That was my first experience online shopping. It wasn’t. Until a month ago Ive been buying various vaping products online. That’s gone better but what I thought was going on with eBay was they had all these protections in place to make sure the seller didn’t get ripped off and not much if any for the buyer.
I’ve been a seller and a buyer for 20 years. The buyer has always been more protected than the seller.
You just have to play by the rules. Most B&M retailers have a 30 day return policy as eBay does.
You have to submit in that time frame.
I ordered and did not receive a pico last year. I contacted the seller with no reply twice, then I contacted support, and had to wait so many days before I could file a claim. Then it took a few days, but they refunded me 100%.
As a seller I quickly learned to ship everything insured with tracking. It’s the only way not to get scammed by people saying they never got something. I’m sure some of them were telling the truth, but there sure are a lot of them who aren’t. ( How do I know? Because the item that supposedly did not arrive turned up for sale two week’s later! It had a serial number so I knew it was one of my auctions)
After that I sent them the tracking number, and they could hassle the post office for their money.
