Nice @AngeNZ, the 0.8mm × 0.2mm SS316L may be of great interest to some. As at 0.2mm thick it will be easier to work with than ribbon.
    SS Flat Wire V4A 0.8x0.2mm / .032*.008" - AWG 25

And @AngeNZ, it doesn't have to look amazing. It has to work, and it most certainly does.

But how hot does your flat wire coil get with the Hussar V1 airflow? As I use the same size flat wire for a 6 wrap 3mm ID coil in a Tauren SOLO and with the airflow that they have it stays very cool, but that mass can take some cooling.

Just wish 0.6mm × 0.2mm could be easily sourced, with a rounded edge profile. Not square or rectangular.

And a unicorn head mounted above my mantlepiece would be nice as well, I'm not asking for much.

This gauge flat wire (0.68mmmm*0.27mm) in a 0.25ohm ss316l in the squeeze 2 with TC, it is COOL (360F) ;) Running a 0.5ohm kanthal version on the Luna is warmer, and warmer than a 0.5ohm 28ga coil - but I love it :D

I'm going to order a thinner gauge - but it may be a payoff of easy to work with vs cooler vape. This stuff is brilliant to coil with :thumb:

    Hi Folks,

I hope you are all doing well and each are having an awesome Friday!!!

Wow, I did not know so many were worried about me. Thank you all for your concern.

Around when I last posted I realized that I needed to make and take some time for myself. A lot has happened in my life over the last year with my wife's passing. Also a lot going on before that with both our health issues.

So I needed time to do a deep dive within. After I last posted I turned my computer off and haven't booted her up or been online until today.

I am honestly very humbled at how many people have contacted me either via PM's, direct email or in Zazie's case those and a physical letter over the last month plus.

I am sorry as I never meant to cause any worry for anyone. I feel bad now because it appears I have caused worry.

Love and hugs to All ...

PS: I will very likely not try to catch up in this thread as it's probably been over a 100+ pages since my last posting and I am very well versed in how fast this thread moves ... haha.

    Cheers!!! :)

Welcome back, you were missed

I completely understand needing time out and switching off from technology however. There's a reason I don't use social media ;)

BTW We've discovered the world is flat, and so is wire :D

Oh man, I have 901 posts to catch up on. That probably ain't happening, so I may just skim it honestly

Sloths trip is coming to an end. At the airport relaxing before my flight tonight. Back home around 3pm EST tomorrow. I don't want to go back

Been a great trip albeit it with rough patches due to rental car troubles (bad ones, had to get towed over 100 miles and switch cars). Sloth is nice and tan (this never happens!)

Hope all the shinies are well! I'll be back with regularity soon and do my best to catch up on all these threads.

Teehee, the fact that you have 4 speaks volumes. I have one on the way. I'm praying it has the updates because I don't own a Windows or Apple device anymore. When will these updates be available on Chrome OS for pete's sake?
You should be able to open it in a Microsoft file. I only have the one black, maybe yours will be a later run. The silvers which they released later than the black are updated.

I finally got around to popping a build in the Unicorn RDA a week or so ago. It sure is a lovely vape.

Took me long enough ... I've had it and the MDX since mid August. Oh well, good things come to those who wait ...hmmm... kind of like FT for example. ;)

Thanks Ange .... and I missed ya all too. I don't do social media either. I have family and friends who are into that and I tick them off by not partaking. Tsk, tsk. My remedy ... pick up the dang phone and call me.

What is all this chatter of flat wire I see??? Spill the beans ... I love tryin' new wire. What kind?
I'm itchin' and my credit card has a zero balance.

So Columbus was wrong and Earth is really flat? Wow. I guess that means all those NASA photo's were done in Photoshop like the conspiracy folks said all along. Hmmm, I have the NASA channel and Earth sure looks round from the space station live video feed. ;) Must be doctored video too.

    I rest my case...

Thanks, Mordacai. Let's see how my first order from the UK goes. I just placed an order with Chef's Flavours because they will no longer be available in the US or any other vendor for that matter. Only Chef's.
What is not going to be available??

There are links a few pages back.
The flat/rectangular is easier to work with, but some like ribbon. Ive had better luck with the .2 thickness.
Kbee has some good stuff, AVS does but is always sold out. Oh and you can add some .8 x .2 ss in your next ft order if you arent in a hurry.

    Anyway
General consensus is that being flat gives you the surface area of a fused clapton but the ramp of a round wire build. But of course not needing as much power. Good luck with the new rabbit hole lol.

Thank you. Good thing rabbit holes for wire aren't as deep, or pricey, as some of the others are.

Holla shinies, I await my last STOCK up vape purchase, I was worried but it is nearly here. The holy silver 21700 dani and charger plate. It's in LAX. That's not good, maybe but well....

My work and health are in some tatters but I just can't go all into it again. I am FINALLY FMLA qualified so my doc was like, "Um after that little incident with the memory I will have you come back in a week and we shall do some memory tests. And, I think it will be okay but you are taking 2 weeks off at LEAST."

Glass bottles (thank God for Amazon prime "Fulfilled by Glass Bottle outlet" cuz they are CHEAP. All my nic will be in glass (glad I ordered that extra gallon) and all will be well,. By the end, hopefully. I shall wash, organize and group everything in ways that will not remind one of the room in "A Beautiful Mind" only less sane. It will be soothing. I keep telling me that.. LOL.

Not sure if this was posted and I missed it but AVS has a code Spooky25 for 25% off.

I got my signed copy of Michael Connelly’s Night Fire and another Flow in the mail. Checked out the new cafe uptown for lunch, and it was really good food. Had tea with my sister and finished a pair of socks. A good day. Tomorrow I have a party to go to. Supposed to rain, so it won’t be a huge crowd, I don’t think. Which is good.

I’m off to bed to get a little tv time, and make use of my 7 day free Britbox trial. Nite nite, all.

@charlie1465 - I'm sorry to hear about what's been going on with you buddy. I pray it goes well for you and that you are C free soon.

@DeloresRose - I'm really sorry to hear about your Mom. Arghhh.

@Fidola13 - Yikes!!! You have not been on a good ride lately have you? I am so very sorry to hear about your dog and your hip. I hope you heal up real soon.

Wow and that was only randomly clicking back. If anything is going on with anyone else that I missed I am sorry.

Life sends us all some heavy zingers. None are immune. My Dad always told me we never get more than we can handle in life (or something like that). In the thick of it we all wonder but that's normal (I think).
Here's to better times ahead for all!!! :nun:
