Sorry the BC I was talking about Boulder City. Sloan Canyon has petroglyphs. It is just outside the city in Henderson. Soon the city will probably grow around it

I like the aged bourbon cream, kiwi, strawberry gelato, blood orange, lemon cookie, sour gummy, raspberry. Most of there fruits are okay, useful for rounding out other brands. The strawberry milkshake has a lot of fans but I've not tried it.

I was actually fairly depressed about coming home at first. "Depressed" is an exaggeration but I felt sad. I got on the final flight which is a 9-passenger Cessna which flies from Boston into a small (tiny) airport in the Adirondacks (there was only one other passenger LOL). It was cloudy and we were above the clouds. Really pretty. I closed my eyes for a while, and when I opened them and looked out, the clouds were gone and we were flying over Lake Champlaign. I looked out and saw very little civilization. Lots of coniferous trees and patches of golden Tamaracks. Lake after lake after lake. Then - uncharacteristically - the plane flew within a stone's throw of the summit of Whiteface Mountain. I could make out some of the alpine vegetation we were so close.

And I stopped feeling sad at that moment. This country is amazing. So many different types of beauty from coast to coast. Then seeing my family was the best feeling ever. There's something to be said about stepping away for a while. Really makes one appreciate what they have at home I live on a beautiful lake, and it's not frozen yet, so who am I to complain.

But the desert southwest is so incredibly beautiful. I'm stoked to go back, hopefully in a year or two.

If you ever come up this way, let me know. I'll tell you all the must-see places this area takes many by surprise because New York is so often associated with a concrete jungle but I live over 5 hours away from that. This is actually one of the largest conglomerations of water in the world. There's over 30,000 miles of rivers and streams. Paddlers paradise and despite being small compared to the west, our mountains are no joke either. It's also larger than any National Park outside of Alaska and maybe Hawaii: 6 million + acres. The Fall is the best, or the winter if you prefer to see another planet. The lakes become desert-esque in a weird way. The trees pop and explode. It's crazy

Absolutely beautiful. I am originally from Binghamton, NY. My nephew and his family live in Jamestown which is also absolutely beautiful. I miss it sometimes, then I remember the winters up there.

There are petroglyphs all over around here too. One of the places my wife and I like to go in the Jeep has petroglyphs all over the rocks at the end of the wash. Very cool.

Sounds really cool. I need to explore more in that area. Is Joshua Tree NP open again? It was cloaed last time I was over there.
