I wish, but I'm telling it to insert them all as full images and some of them just won't. There's even a different icon on the ones that won't. It's really weird, and at first I thought it may be due to my export settings in LR but for example I exported the above 3 images with identical settings so it's not that. I'm totally confused
I agree. Resizing may help as you're hosting them on this site, and while there is no strict file size guidelines that I know of, it's still worth a shot. If you're using an odd browser (like what, Opera? that's pretty mainstream), you could try the standard Chrome, FF, Edge and see if it matters, but likely not.
And on the issue of checking after placing the cap, I use a Coilmater 521 and I'm just in the habit of priming the wick and coil, placing on the cap, look at the resistance, and taking one or two draws right off of it. It's has short protection so it won't fire if I did make a mistake. Besides, I'm partial to Delrin/PEI caps anyway as metal caps can get too hot on those little 22 mm attys.

any hosting service should work.. I have a deviantart account and I use that from time to time, I've also shared Facebook images before here too so I'm sure your instagram account should work as well..
