Good Morning everyone Happy Saturday! Im changing my mind about the smok Mag I recently got. Its great if you want to leave it at home and set it on the table. I took it to work and it was the most frustrating thing Ive ever used! The battery clip ejects when you carry it in your bolt bag and I had to constantly fiddle with it so not a good everyday mod if your hard on things like I am.
just don't carry it that way.Ergodyne Arsenal 5725 Topped Bolt Bag | FullSource.com

I erect steel structures I can only carry stuff in bags on my tool belt. Granted I have specialized needs for a mod at work it needs to be supper tough and Ive found the less functions the better. So far my HexOhm has been the best all around mod for me. it has a fire button and a recessed VV adjustment screw. So far its the only regulated mod Ive found that can take the abuse I give it.

I couldn’t agree more never could understand the reasoning behind 200W + JMO personally I stay under 30W and am more than happy but everyone’s different.....
I'm somewhat similar. I run dual SS coils at about 0.4 Ohms in my Battlestar and Moonshot RTA's. In my Goblin RTA's it's dual SS coils at about 0.25 Ohms. Using temp control I set the initial wattage at 50 Watts on the 0.40 builds and 40 Watts on the 0.25 builds. Temps are set between 420 and 450 depending on the juice.

The 0.40's usually settle in around 34 Watts and the 0.25's around 28. I get such a rich and flavorful hit that I can't imagine it getting better. I have devices and tanks that are more than capable of vaping at 100+ Watts, and I was compelled to test the equipment's limits. It sucked.

As it is, I get most of the flavor towards the end of the inhale and through all of a slow exhale. You (I) just can't taste all of a humongous cloud produced by a 100 or 150 Watt hit. And it seems like a waste of juice, wick, battery and time.

As soon as they arrived at the store here, I knew it was a stupid design. They really should have put a turn lock on that silly battery "clip"...

I've seen vids of those Genny tanks and I'm glad that I started vaping after that passed. Looked like an exercise in frustration
You have missed out on an excellent vaping experience, pure flavor.

With TC this should not matter, the only thing wattage/ joules should do is get the coils to temp faster, then the TC takes over from there and varies the power delivered based off of the feedback it gets from the coils. The TC is there to protect from overcooking the juices no matter what you have the wattage/ joules set at.

like I said, looks like an exercise in frustration! Holy Schnikes! Those things were tiny. I already wear a magnifying headset thingy when I build on a 22 or 24 mm deck. I'd need a microscope for that thing

I know. What I was trying to say is that TC gets me to a power level that I probably would have used absent TC and that I use a power level north of the optimum to get me at the right temp quickly.

Shinyitis seems to have subsided on its own recently. No outstanding orders pending from china and nothing in my carts for the first time in a long while. Only have one item currently enroute from hungary and that is a backup Jorda B rda for the one I already have. I do keep checking the aspirecigs instagram for an update on that squonker (mech? mosfet? mysterious!) they announced awhile back and I'm eyeballing internets for any more info on the arctic dolphin soul and amber squonkers but otherwise I'm feeling content with what I have. Strange!

Me at work as you can imagine my stuff takes a beating. If my batteries fall out chances are from 50 to several hundred foot drop they are ruined.
Yep.

But I must say, you look much cuter in your avatar than you do in these pics of yours.

That moment you catch yourself hitting your new coffee flavored vape more than your $5 mocha... If only the juice had caffeine and nicotine... Now, that would be shiny!
There are juices with caffeine available.
