I have looked at the Pumper but I don’t know enough about it to know how it would be superior to the Luna for the money. (If it’s a shinyitis thing, I totally get that, lol.) Plus - do those bottles last?

I've had my Pumper for 2 months now, and I love it to bits. To let you make a more informed choice, here's what is good & bad about it:

Good: Hand feel, extremely comfy to hold. A measured pump each time. Same amazing chip as the Luna. Vapes awesome like the Luna. Looks awesome.

Bad/Different: Because it is a measured pump, and it doesn't have the 'suck back' ability of bottle squonkers - it can oversquonk shallower RDAs. With a deeper well rda, I use the Narca on it - it's perfect. It also works really well with RDTAs.

The pump & bottle come out easy enough to refill. The bottle is made of PC. But the pump mechanism itself, which really is just a thick spring, may not last forever. You can get replacement bottle/pumps from vapor range, Asmodus and FT.

sourcemore responded re my shorted Luna (after Asmodus said I had to contact them)
To start, I told them I don't have the means to take pics...
I have to send photo of S/N
I have to send a photo of the Security Code
I have to send a video of it not working.
...aside from the fact they want me to put a battery in a shorted mod.

    well then...

Oof. When you insert the battery it flashes green five times then turns off (blue light), right? I’m trying to remember and will never find your original. If what I just wrote is accurate then making the stupid video with your phone is annoying but not dangerous.

Mine started auto firing. That’s a safety hazard as an auto firing mod may overheat the battery if allowed to go on too long. While it was theoretically possible for me to reproduce the autofire and pop the battery out before it overheated, I refused, citing electrical safety issues. They folded and sent a new one, didn’t even ask for the bad one back.

But that’s a different situation than it simply failing to off when you put a freshly charged battery in it. It’s annoying but a short poorly shot video may be your easiest option over a volley of emails.

If you don’t have any video capability, phone or camera, then tell them that. Can’t make you do something beyond your capability.

im open to “older” models as well. Some of my favorite rda’s originals came out 2-3 or more years ago so doesn’t need to be brandy new.

Wotofo RDAs have been winners for me for the most part. Good quality for a good price in my experience.

The Serpent is one that keeps popping up during my searches. Is there anything that sets it apart such as airflow?

It's slightly restricted. But what I liked the most about it, is how amazing it was with berries and fruit ejuices

I'm vaping on a pumper 18 and a Luna right now (thanks to Ange!) and having the same chip they vape much the same but I'm kind of addicted to the really smooth lovely feel of the pump with it's steel handle. The pump mechanism feels solid and well made -quality. I did buy a spare bottle.
The main difference between the two is the Pumper doesn't suck back excess juice so it's possible to over squonk if you're not careful.
The other thing I really love about the Pumper is the stainless steel top and bottom plates (black on the Luna) that look great with SS attys.

Wow, thank you so much for all of this information. It is a lovely device.

I may pass - I am an avid over-squonker and rely heavily on the drawback ability of the bottles. Also, admittedly, I have not used a Luna (will have 3 by the time my latest Black Mosaic is delivered ) so I don’t even know how well it works  But the word of you good people was enough to make the choice to purchase. Especially at the prices we get them for! I can’t believe they’re $50 elsewhere.

Latest shiny ... a new grinder so I can stay properly caffeinated whilst in pursuit of the next shiny ...
    View attachment 857943

(beats the pants off the mechanical grinder I was using ... even though I often powered it with a cordless drill ... so semi-mechanical).
Being italian by birth and heritage those americanos are heresy... I use a Saeco Xsmall at home with built in grinder.

Ooh. See, this is why I love this site. Never even heard of this before. I see one “styled” on a site for $22. Where might I be looking for one of these?
    Are you sitting down?

Hussar Project X Light Ultem by Hussar Vapes

Haha... Everyone purchased the Coppervape Project X clone via FT.
$17.17 Coppervape Hussar Project X Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / 316 stainless steel + PEI / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They're excellent. Very very much RDA like flavor from an RTA. Visit Hussar Project X RTA Clone (by Coppervape)
There is a ton of info/tips in the thread. Even a PDF tutorial (link pg1).

Sometimes 5 green blinks and no firing and sometimes 5 green blinks then blue off.
I pulled the battery out as I didn't want to risk auto firing.

My phone doesn't do pics or videos.

I can't remember where I read a post about dotmod going out of business. Is it true?
Not that I'm aware of. I just bought a dotBox 75w mod from them over BF for 50% off. The site is up and running. I don't think they are.

Vape Mail was delayed until Monday how disappointing :( !

im frustrated :p ! Seriously though- I’ve been looking at single coil DL RTAs and all the decks pretty much look the same save for clamp or postless. They all have the honeycomb airflow some angled slightly different then another.

So what makes one stand out more than another? I like the 22mm bottom airflow but can get great flavor from 24 mm top airflow too.

Love the airflow on original Zeus but found the Intake too restricted. I like bubble glass options more than straight glass thanks.

so unless you can afford to buy and try them all- how do you narrow it down. Just reviews? Or is there something you look for in a build that makes them different from other RTAs.

If I loved a particular RDA will the RTA version REALLY be similar. Ex I enjoy the Dead Rabbit rda. Will the RTA version vape the same just with the addition of a tank o_O ?

I’m actually just musing out loud because after buying what feels like hundreds of RDAs I feel I’m lacking in the RTA department. Previously (before broken hip) I was mostly dripping but there is something to be said about tanks too I now realize.

So before the End of Days  I’d like to get another tank or two. And basically I’m tired of reading and watching reviews

Now I gave myself a headache.
There aren't that many tanks. I have ten and probably that's the end of it. With luck you could make up to 15.

Is the amount it pumps adjustable ?

Not that I'm aware of - maybe check some reviews? And as it's just a mechanical pump, there must be some way of tweaking it. For shallower RDAs I just did a half pump - which worked fine.

Well said, I wonder about RTA's too. Even though I am very happy with squonking, if I should decide to go back to tanks later I could use some updated tanks. My tanks are 2016 and older, and still work fine, but I would like to get a few of the newer ones out there. Brunhilde, Zues X, Serpent Elevate, KF 2019, Berserker Mini, are a few I'm thinking about getting.
