So a little over a month ago I had my first sigelei mod go to crap w/i 30days and now it's replacement (different model) has also gone to crap at 31days. This was supposed to be my mod that takes different size battery so now I'm in the market again for an inexpensive mod that takes 21700s but preferably with an adapter will also take 18 650s.
Regulated
A single battery
I'm really fond of the ones that have the battery cap on the top that extend it but that's just sprinkles on top of the cupcake. Something that ships from the United States would be nice just because I'm already waiting on Chinese orders that don't seem to be moving and I need to figure out whether I'm going to try to warranty this product that went faulty on day 31 or if I'm going to just replace it and forget about it.
I'd like to keep it around the same price as what I bought the other mod for which was $30. I know that at that price point you're probably not going to get amazing quality but I do still think that you should get more than 31 days use and I would have been happy had I got 6 months

Thanks so much.. also I feel like I'm always asking questions and I kind of apologize for that but where am I going to get a better recommendation than in the shiny thread LOL

All I can think of are one of the Picos, I can’t recall which, and the Aegis 100. Pico you might be able to get in your price range, Aegis maybe not.

I bought a rba deck for an old K1 - supposed to work for it, anyway, we’ll see - from 2F deal. They emailed me a few days later that I still needed to pay. I’ve been trying for a week to contact them. The payment shows on my PayPal and I screen shot it, emailed it to them. No reply. I tried to check my order in their site but I could not get in, until just now. It’s shipped. So much horsing around for an $8 item I don’t even need. But I hate loose ends like that.

My batteries, or mods have been wonky for a few days now. I have four batteries for each mod. Usually three mods at a time. They are all married and for instance as I am running my Sanyo's in my Miniken I am charging two others Sanyo's from the same set of four. When they drain to 3/4's I switch out. Drained ones go in the charger, etc etc.
Lately, one battery will drain to halfway before the other, or so the mod says.
It is happening with all of them and with all MInikens. Not the Nova.
Any suggestions?

Oh I completely understand. That would drive me crazy if I couldn't get in or if they were saying I hadn't paid. It drives me nuts when I don't know what's going on. I hate Loose Ends. Like right now I'm a little edgy about a $12 mod that I purchased on a Chinese site that isn't one that I've ever done business with before. It's been 8 days that's not a long time I'm expecting to wait probably a month or two for it to get here however on their site they say they'll either give you a tracking number within two days or they will contact you to let you know what's going on well that obviously hasn't happened I didn't actually think it would but because they said it it's bothering me. I automatically assume that I have done something wrong or that they have lost my order. I'm not so much inpatient if I was I would not order from China but I'm anxious nevertheless. I just like to have an answer for things

How old are they? If you’re recharging them every day or two, they may have gone through as many charge cycles as they can.

At least, that’s what I understand. Losing run time means aging batteries. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I'm definitely not an expert and the fact that it's not doing it in the Nova but it is doing it in the other mods makes me curious to say the least but it's my understanding that the average battery has a lifespan of about 300 charges. And that you do get more charge cycles out of a battery if it doesn't have to charge up as much so charging it when it's 50% instead of when it's 25% does increase the amount of Cycles you get. But usually when something like that's going on with the battery you instantly start thinking about how old the battery is.

So it only happens with Miniken devices? Does your charger display battery voltage? If so you can check the differences in voltages there.

You’re correct. But to add, batteries can age at different rates. Married batteries is a process of ensuring a similar degradation, but it is not a guarantee.

If I were you I would firstly try 2 new batteries in the minikin to see if it is the mod that is at fault. You could also look at the volts when you put them on the charger to see if they are indeed draining unevenly.

If it does check out as an unevenly draining pair I would just replace the batteries. By the way I would also use the same pair for each separate mod and don't mix up the pairs. You can't really have 4 batteries paired with each other.... If I'm reading you correctly :)

The Ehpro Cold Steel 100 is running $34 at cvapor. Regulated, takes 2x700 as well as 18650, appears to have solid reviews. (I own two of their armor prime mods, protected but unregulated, like them.)

I took it to mean she has pair A and Pair B for each of the mods. I’ve heard some people put a 1 and a 2 in paired batteries, and rotate which position in the mod each time. I have too many mods and batteries to keep that straight.

I name my batteries after presidential couples. John and Jackie, Ronald and Nancy, George and Laura. For my triple battery mods I use Donald, Melania and Stormy, and Bill, Hillary and Monica. Surprisingly enough, my triple batteries mods have not ended in an explosive breakup.

My first three battery device is on it's way, so it's time to plan for this threesome. Larry, Moe and Curly work for me!

Singe battery that takes a 2700 and has a top battery cap is the Pico 21700 mod. Around your price for the mod alone.

As @Punk In Drublic already said, what does your charger say? I'd rely on that more than the mod, which might have a problem reading the remaining voltage for one slot. If the charger agrees with the mod you can try a new married set. If the same happens, the mod has a malfunctioning battery slot.

What’s on the way? Own 2 Lost Vape Triade’s. If I’m at home, at least one is glued to my hand. Love this mod

For me it's the Reuleaux DNA 250 bronze. Not like anything else I own but it kept popping up in my thoughts over time. Nice to add a higher wattage DNA board too.

The extra power on tap is a nice to have. But the extra run time you get with 3 cells makes a huge difference. Especially with the added efficiency of a DNA board. Enjoy :thumb:

I always give a weeks grace during this time of year because of busy sales. I'd wait a few days then contact cs directly on site if there's no movement by then.

If a battery is discharging faster than its married better half, charge it up and try it in another mod. If it's still discharging faster, grant it a divorce and get some new batts.

E - All of my batteries are from broken homes, BTW :D
