Jellyfish and blue ringed octopus....stay out of the ocean! At least your know where they are. The sneaky spiders are awful, especially when they land on your head

The opossum in my yard earlier was twice the size of my cat...

One opossum years ago bit one of my cats (he's now passed) and the opossum was so disease infested that the bite caused my cat to be so sick that in less than 24 hours from the bite my cat had to be put on IV antibiotics and fluids for an entire week before we knew for sure the cat would live through the experience.

There is nothing good about those things... you won't even see me eat one. They are nasty alive or dead.

I've made short friends with skunks, deer, coyotes, squirrels, and doves, oddly. I love nature I guess.

Oh I love nature... I don't even have difficulty with bears.. I live where most people only dream of... nature all around me.

But I hate opossum with a passion ... because I know them.

Possums are cute, sweet animals. They are like one step down from dogs, and totally unagressive. They, in fact, play possum if confronted. So, don't be a sissy?

You did not mention how many ticks and venomous snakes. They are immune to snake venom and researchers are currently seeing how this can help save people!

I am an animal lover too. I just happened upon a opossum in a dark barn when I was a kid and I scared it before it terrified me. Stuck with me

That might be true... I've yet to see one that is not oxygen deprived do anything but attack when frightened. And they have some teeth on them.
