I might have mentioned ive been a bit housebound as ive been on 2 antibiotics from an ear infection (i have no immune system), and had a few days of no sleep (AB's knocking me about) followed by a long one yesterday (ironically just as i felt i could rest), i finally got some rest and then woke up at 3:30pm and decided i was well enough to go the local major shops about 2k away. Get there with my extensive shopping list:
2 x decent loaves bread
6 potatoes
1 x pack frozen spinach
1 x 2 pack of microwave wholemeal rice
2 x tins of tuna
1 x 4 chicken & vege pies,
2 x 1 Lt bottles of high protein milk
2 x Arnotts Nice bikkies...
1 tub of margarine
1 jar of jam
i buy the same thing about every 4 days (normally) because i have dietary/digestive issues and over time these have proven well tolerated, dont have a pantry, dont have long term stocks of anything, ever...I will top these up with fresh chicken breats or eggs every other week, but essentially this is me., week in week out.
Walk into two supermarkets there and came home with nothing, because d'head paranoids have stripped the shelves bare
Spoke the store manager at the first supermarket, my usual...
Me: "why aren't you stopping the selfish people?"
Her: "we have limits"
Me: "it's obviously not working"
Her: "what can we do"
By this time the security guard has appeared, despite me being polite (mustn't have been the only person to complain)
Me: "you have security guards, you see people behind like animals, you throw them out"
Her: "you need to come at 7am, that's what we're telling everyone"
Note: So at 7am to 8am they decided yesterday to make for the elderly and people with disabilities only, calling it community
Now I haven't mentioned a disability (because i dont like to open with hi, i have aspergers in real life) or anything folks, so they're telling EVERYONE to come at 7am
So much for community hour
So tomorrow at 6:30 i have to leave home and try and get some food that way, because i have maybe 2 days of food, in a major city....
I sent the supermarkets a suggestion or two earlier, in a tweety....like close the stores for an hour and restock the shelves several times at random times during the day, instead of stocking the shelves once and opening the door to the hoarders in the morning and letting them empty the shelves like the selfish pigs they are.
Very much over selfish hoarders, might have mentioned about forming a peoples militia, or taking a pick handle with me, to sort out hoarders in my tweet....
