Good morning Shinyville! Hoping all are safe and well. Overcast and rainy here today, which is fine. My lawn and garden need some free water. Today's Family Picture from July 2011...Top of First Peak of Grandfather Mountain near Boone, NC (named for Daniel Boone). Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in western NC, Boone is our favorite family getaway. So much to do up there. Hiking, caving, and whitewater rafting are just a few of the things we like doing. I just like sitting on the back porch of our cabin in the morning, looking down over the valley, with nothing but the birds and a mountain stream to break the silence. Oh, the serenity.

That's beautiful! Yeah, we like the Smokey Mountains a lot too. We go to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (Dolly Parton's Home) area. It's just a couple hours further west than the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC.

This is in Roaring Forks, TN in the Smokies in October 2011

Hey ---> a very fantastic morning to You dear Shiny Ones ... .

I am so wider than awake!!! Strong cuppa java has that effect on me. Haha, I had so much energy I was bouncin' off the walls earlier. After a very long walk with Dog in the crisp cool morn ... I have returned, very mellowed, to our pale blue dot (Carl Sagan).

Right now, kickin' off the tunes with some Jonatha Brooke...


Morning vape ... simple but effective MTL setup ...

I haven't really been buying anything, but did win a shiny a couple of weeks ago (thanks @Innokin_timmy !).
MVP5/Ajax kit. I mtl, and generally only use small mods, so I won't be using the tank. But this is really a pretty nice mod.

• The texture of the finish is great, and feels good in the hand.
• Not too heavy, despite the size. I think it only weighs a tad more than my Colossal.
  
• Buttons are well placed, and UI is very easy. TONS of power for me, and can be used as a power bank.
  
• And the flashlight isn't like the led on your cellphone- it puts out serious light....shiny!
  
• Boost mode in low wattage is perfect for me.
• Has features I probably won't use, but are cool anyway- barometer, altimeter, compass, thermometer, etc.
• Finally, a mod that uses usb-c.
  
• Hands down the best display on any mod I own.

Overall, not a mod for out & about for me, but it's a really good desk mod- which is fine, because I'm at my desk most of the day. Here it is with the swag that came with it, and posing with an old school MVP.

Good morning SMT. Love the tunes. I left you some tunes in our pm that I hope you like. Don't know if you've listened to Beth Hart, but she is another favorite of mine. I love it when she gets together with Joe Bonamassa who is one of my all time favorite guitarists in the world.

In retrospect you did me a favor not answering. It made me get creative, and I made an extension using a 1mL syringe tube, silicone o-ring, and a couple tank pieces. It's working good, no vacuum leaks, and is sitting on my Hammer clone now. Thank you for the inspiration.

Looks like a lot of fun. Never been there, but it's only about a half hour from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. May have to check it out our next trip out there. Did I mention that we love the mountains?
