Doh! I was just about to post complaining about how my primary was not hitting right since I cleaned the coils last night (too hot and harsh). As I was sitting down to rebuild and rewick, I thought, it’s been a few hours since I hit it, maybe I should try resetting the resistance, it was locked it at 0.27 on an 0.25 build. When I reset it, it dropped to 0.25 and provided a perfect hit!!! That was a lot of time saved!

I’d consider another 6 bay... that way I can get everything charged up during hurricane season before a storm.

I did not even think about hurricane season!!!!! OMG! I need 24 now...
Yes, and a stockpile of juice, multiple extra batteries, and coils makings, extra mods, bread, peanut butter and a gross of bottled water. Just thankful my list doesn’t include cartons of stinkies any more

Not sure on that one, was thinking if it was bottom airflow overdripping would be it. Don't own a goon so maybe someone who does has an idea.
Sometimes juice can get stuck between the adjuster and cap, typically helps lube things. I am a bit sloppy and overzealous with dripping and can sometimes go a little too horizontal with my hits... Paper towels are my friend...

Tracking heaven today. It wasn't a vaping purchase, just some mouse pads from Amazon, but maybe one day this will happen with vape packages.

It was due to arrive today, I took a look at the tracking before I went to work and it displayed a street map with the location of my house, and the location of the truck. It was about a mile away and the legend said it had 8 more deliveries before it got to me. I followed it until the truck arrived at my house. Never seen that before.

Has @jfcooley been made aware of this sorcery?

I started my single node system on Packard Bell 286 with 1mb RAM and a 20MB hard drive. The modem was Hayes 2400 with the modem circuitry in the wall plug.

I used Telegard, a pirated version of the WWIV source code. My wife was preggers with our first child (who turns 27 in October).

By the time I pulled the plug on Cybernautics BBS in 1996, I had three dial in nodes on a rollover line, four CD-ROM drives and two 400MB IDE drives. Three Intel 28800 modems with processors that were as powerful as the CPU in the old PacBell.

Two nodes ran on 486 boxes I built myself and the third ran on a 486sx.

What made me hang up my SysOp hat was Doom Deathmatches and dialup internet at 56kbps.

I still play Doom every now and then...
Awesome rigs you ran there. I never got into setting up a PC BBS, too busy in the alt.binaries groups. ;)

We had a few university staff members VAX accounts locked out pulling down all the WAD files we could find for deathmatch. I forget the old Dos launcher we used to use, it had built in support for IPX and would list all the WAD files for you.
