Darn.

Is it really that hot? Are people dropping dead if they're outside for more than five or ten minutes?
No it's 113°. The city has cooling stations set up around town. It can be dangerous to be out in that. My car is black and was parked in the sun at work. It took the AC about 15 miles to cool the car down. I saw that number and had to share it though.

Option A is correct. Sorry, folks. B is just wrong. One does not do that. That's not only wrong, it's disturbing. You take your eggs out RIGHT to LEFT.
oh no! Not me. I make them even. It really bothers me when I take out an odd number and then they are not even. MOstly I do it for distributing the weight

OK. Here goes. For my first build I used Phil's coil and cotton. Nailed it on my first attempt. Everything went well. It vapes great. Wicks great. No leaks. Airflow is adequate, albeit strictly MTL. Everything works as it should. The AF turntable under the coil is very clever.

It's a perfectly fine atty. Really. Well made, easy to build. Would I recommend it to a new vaper who's trying to learn how to use RTAs? Absolutely. Phil and Dimitri really went out of their way to make it foolproof and provided everything one needs to start rebuilding and some.

I'm going to experiment some more with my own coil and cotton.
Just how “adequate” is that af?? Inquiring minds need to know before hers is delivered maybe tomorrow.

It's MTL. Perhaps even loose MTL--but somewhat diffused at its most open setting. It's not a RL but any stretch of imagination. As always, YMMV. :D

I don't know how you guys do it; 113°is just brutal.

Hang in there, Skunk.

If it’s close to the zenith, I might be able to work with it. Finding that magical “enough but not too much” af is a tough row to hoe lol. I’ve had piles of rejects along the way.

Oh, it is. Just somehow not as defined as Zenith. But like I said, it's just my first build and my first experience with that elongated slot under the coil. It just feels different.

I can't wait for your review!

I have all three of the FLV and really like them. Use FLV Cream all the time. It's one of my favorite creams. Nice and full bodied. Don't know if you have FLV Whipped Cream but that's another really good one. I think it's the best whipped cream out there.

Flavorah are completely new to me, I do have their Berry Blend and love that. I've been ordering Flavorah from Kiwi sites so the selection is limited - but I'll add the whipped cream to my next Chefs order.

I've always ignored Flavorah before, mainly due to the price and availability. But of course they are more concentrated and you use less - and now that the selection in NZ is much better, I'm broadening my flavouring horizons

What airflow setting do you use for your Zenith? On my Zlides, I do 1.6 coils on the 1st setting. The .8 coils I normally use the 2nd or 3rd.

    We need to talk. :D

I'm about to. I got my Ares 2 and it's nice, but not quite what I expected. Still not sure about those other RTAs in my cart--do I need both Dvarws? It looks like the MTL FL has enough different inserts to make me happy. Tripod is most definitely in, so is Hellvape MD.

    *sigh*

    I'm cross-quoting you, cuz I can

The baby flat wire I use is Thunderhead Creations kanthal 0.5mm x 0.2mm. But I've only ever seen it in an online store here in NZ, which is no use to you

Regarding the Dvarw. You were only getting the DL for the 24mm deck size. Since you want airflow between 2mm and 2.5mm, the MTL FL insert 1.5mm x 2 or 2mm x 2 would get you there:
    dvarwMTL.jpg

If the deck is too small, grab a DL then - or an authentic MTL FL 24mm

I didn't realise the Zenith and Zlides had different airflow. Is the Zlide much airier?

Not that I am aware of. Since you said you would be happy if the Ares 2 was like your Zenith af, I was just wondering how you use your Zenith. Depending on what coil I am using I adjust the AF notches a bit.

Knowing @NolaMel she'd have her Zeniths running with all holes open ;)
